Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
I read somewhere that KC has the same amount of int's as JaMarucs Russell but in less pass attempts.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
yeah, kirk's int per pass ratio is pretty bad. smart defenders know he pre-determines his throws some times, so they can bait him. thursday's ints were both pretty awful.
Not really. Teams are just being smart and waiting for free agency. I can practically guarantee he'll have multiple teams to choose from next year.
Griffin might give Jason Campbell a run for his money as a backup somewhere.

Sad to say this but JC is twice the QB that RG3 sadly will ever become. At least with JC - you knew he wasn't going to LOSE you the game, he was just never going to win it with his arm. Most of the time JC's stats would look like 180 yards and 1 TD with no INT's. With RG3 - he isn't able to do enough of anything to even control the game, much less win it. JC had to learn a new offensive system each year he was a pro, and even though i didn't like him, he played solidly if not underwhelmingly.... |

I don't even like RG3 anymore but I don't just ignore that he did have an all-time great rookie year. Now if you want to say the "new" RG3 is trash, I will jump on that bandwagon in a heartbeat. |
Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Agreed, even if RG3 does nothing from here on out, he did more in 2012 than JC did his entire career. He had one of the best rookie seasons ever and set the league on fire. No reason to discredit him on that.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Griffin won us a division I'll always like him for that

I mean it wasn't him alone, but he certainly played a key role |
Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
In some ways, as much as I appreciate the 2012 year, it really did send expectations for RGIII through the roof. As SS said, much of the success was attributable to others: Morris, Kyle Shanahan, a defense that actual got turnovers. I am not trying to minimize RGIII's unique contributions, but, perhaps, had instant success not been achieved by completely revamping the offense to cover his shortcomings as a QB, RGIII would have been able to see how far he had to go as a passer.
I dunno - thinking about the expectations and then the being hit by the reality still bums me out. |
Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
No matter what their record ends up being after this season, this is one offseason that I will definitely look forward to. We should have a better idea of what they have or don't have in Cousins as the starter, and RGIII and hopefully all of this drama around him will be gone, and SM can continue to shape this team into a legit contender again....Romo and Manning are aging out, Philly is certainly not dominant at this point....this division is up for grabs this year and the near future!

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
I was laying in bed last night going thru my dvr list and I had the skins boys thanksgiving game on there and started watching it.
I watched the first 2 qtrs, there was 1 play where RG dropped back to pass, had plenty of time, went thru 3 progressions and threw it to his 3rd read. The problem was his 2nd read was wide open with no one around him for 5-10 yards and would have gained at least 10 more yards on the play yet inexplicably he didnt pull the trigger to that receiver,we just didnt notice or care back then cause he made up for it,but for whatever reason he's still doing that same thing and now he's not good enough to make up for it |
Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
If I were running this team, and I'm not. Once we go under .500 and end the year on a losing note, which we will, I would fire Gruden and hire Kyle Shannhan and make RGiii the starter, BUT ONLY IF HE WILL AGREE TO RUN THE READ OPTION. Otherwise, I don't see RG3 ever playing again in Washington under any coach.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
2012 and RG3 for some Redskin fans is like the first girl they lost their virginity to. They just can't let go of it, move on and get it out of their system.
