I hope we can at least get Davis on the PS. I like big, fast, strong receivers. Hell, I like that at every position lol.
I like Brian Quick, as well. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
Grant has had a lot of time to make an impact but hasn't. I have a feeling he may be traded or cut. With the apparent ability, hard to know why it hasn't translated.
Maybe, but Maurice Harris has shown more in games than Grant and they like this Robert Davis kid too (particularly his size). Someone will be disappointed.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah but unless you think Gruden is just blowing smoke by talking up Grant so much, there's no way it will Grant as the one that's disappointed. I think they keep Davis because he has the deep threat ability. Harris probably gets cut. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
Harris actually played well last year, can't see him being the odd man out. Gruden easily could be trying to motivate Grant by the positive talk. If we keep 5, I think Grant is gone, but 6 he stays
11 Pryor, Terrelle 80 Crowder, Jamison 18 Doctson, Josh 13 Harris, Maurice 17 Quick, James 14 Grant, Ryan PS 9 Davis, Robert PS 15 Hazel, Matt gone 16 Pascal, Zach 6 Staples, Jamari CF17 83 Quick, Brian U/LAR |

I am not sure we can stash Davis on the PS without someone picking him up. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
I really think you guys are smoking something. Grant is a mortal lock for the roster.
Not that he deserves to be, but no chance he's even remotely on Jay's bubble. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
With Doctson virtually an unknown because he can't stay healthy makes Grant a lock imo. Plus look at Grant status among the other WR...he has seniority among the group. I think that helps him as well.
But honestly, I can't stand the guy....but he should make it. |

Stock UP; Stock DOWN
Gruden talks up Grant for a reason. He clearly likes the guy. He's no superstar but it doesn't hurt to have guys like him on your roster.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
can he be on the preseason?i thought he had been in theleague too long?
Admittedly, I have not been following as closely as I have in the past. As to Grant, however, he's not a starter and can't get open against starting corners or even many nickel/slot CB's. Despite this, Gruden continues to talk him up.
To me, outside the top 3, Grant is the closest there is to a lock. He is a guy who can reliably run the plays if one of the top 3 goes down. Not really true of any of the rest. I think they keep six with the competition for the final two between Davis, Harris, and Quick with Quick being the odd man out. He is experienced, true, but that's why you keep Grant. Harris played well last year and seemed (to me anyway) to get better with play throughout the year, so he still has the "potential" factor working for him. Same with Davis who seems to be getting really good reviews. If Harris and Davis stick, all the more reason to keep Grant. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |
