gurdens done if this team doesnt finish .500 - maybe even done if that happens. I'm actually off his bandwagon completely... sadly, cuz i know i should welcome continuity - but between he and manusky, i want change. Period. |

draft baker mayfield.
Our CBs were awful today as were our safeties not named Swearinger (who came to play, as he does every week). Our OLBs were awful (not pressure, not setting the edge), Spaight was a bright spot and Brown was inconsistent, despite having a lot of tackles. Our D line was poor -- plain and simple. They could only stop the run toward the end when it was clear to everyone that it would be run, run, run. No push up the middle. Sad to see such a pathetic defensive outing after last week.
Cannot put too much on Cousins -- he has lost a lot of weapons, and the threat of a run game isn't significant (and his line was OK -- no bad sacks, but no ability to get to second level blocking either). Playcalling was really uninspired and unimaginative. We may have a decent kicker in the making -- the 55 yarder was impressive. Oh, and since when does Forbath make long kicks at FedEx (only for other teams). Geez.
this. Wildly on defense, too. I'm fed up with this shit. |
Re: Post game and what needs to be done going forward.
So Rob Kelley is out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain. Great. I wonder if we can re-sign Mack Brown when the Vikings cut him today (as I bet they will, now that they've gotten intel on us). I'm willing to forgive that if he can crank out some yardage for us. We will need a third back in addition to Perine and CT.

Re: Post game and what needs to be done going forward.
I REALLY had to scratch my head when Perine was actually running with decisiveness and vision and we decide to run a guy who is 180 lbs. right up the middle.
|
Re: Post game and what needs to be done going forward.
I don't even know any other RB's on the roster after Perine and CT. Kelley will probably be out for a while so I assume they're going to sign someone? They've really fucked up this RB thing. I keep going back to Morris. If you were going to replace him then you better bring in someone better. So far I just haven't seen that.

That was absolutely terrible and if i am not mistaken we gave it to him again the next play on a toss sweep. Terrible. |

Well at the time they were in hurry up so I assume they wanted to leave CT in there. I really didn't have a problem with the call. It was the execution. Shereff got blown up, he's obviously out there playing hurt and it showed. I assume all the of people bitching about the call would think CT can get a god damn yard. He couldn't cause the blocking was shit. |
Re: Post game and what needs to be done going forward.
Well, if it WAS the hurry up, I don't mind it as much. Perine wasn't bad catching the ball yesterday I have to say.

Mayfield is the kind of draft pick that will get a coach and GM fired. But he sure looks like a #1 pick in the draft. He looks like a polished NFL ready QB. Was really impressed with the way he was moving the db's around with his eyes and pumps against TCU. He was dropping in dimes. But he has been arrested before.... |
draft baker mayfield.
He's gonna be a top 15 pick probably but I'd love that
we've had the most unimagined, vanilla, unispired and retarded defense for over 10 years no matter who the coordinator - it's fucking brutal to watch every week. I dont think we have run a stunt, or delayed blitz or anything creative one time ALL SEASON - IT MAKES ME FUCKIN WANNA VOMIT.
^^^^ This! It felt like Manusky was coaching scared. He must've thought Keenum was Brady or Rodgers or something. |

I liked Mack Brown, and I thought he was better than Kelley. By the way, speaking of injuries, Lisfranc injury for Will Compton. |

I agree with you to an extent, but it's another killer to depth (as, you mentioned we're already "thin" at the position). |
