Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
Hey, Beck is determined and is putting the work in. Lets see if he's improved over his Dolphins days.
I think his ceiling is "good backup" but he's working hard...prove you can do it, John. I also love how he was excited to come here and took his wife out to Chik-Fil-A to celebrate. (serious...love their chicken) |

Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
Am I the only person who is exceedingly bothered by anecdotal trivia passed off as facts?
To me that article is just as spurious as worrying about Andy Dalton success because he's there hasn't been many successful red head QBs. Its silly. Beck will succeed or fail because of his ability and opportunity. |

It's not a guarantee that beck will even be in the mix

The deck is certainly stacked in his favor. Even if we draft a QB the lockout situation most likely means less reps for everyone. So he'll have a turnover prone QB in front of him and a rookie QB that won't have enough reps and grasp of the playbook to play for at least 8 weeks behind him. Even if we sign a free agent QB Beck will still have a years worth of practice in our system on whoever we bring in |

^ true but I'd go with Rex over Beck wouldn't you?

Why would u do that? Beck has done nothing but be a bench warmer and is 29 years old |

Because I know what Rex is, if you're honest you know what Rex. We don't know anything about John Beck beyond that he's a smart kid with a strong arm that had 4 starts as a rookie. That's not enough to know anything about him as QB, and for all intents and purposes he's still a 1st year player. Could he be worse then Rex? Sure. Could he be better? I'm willing to find out. |

True, we thought Colt Brennan would move up a spot when Shanahan came in. Instead, he was sent to the unemployment office...now going to play in the UFL. |
