With all of the rain we have had today , it reminded me of the " seat cushion " game in the playoffs vs Atlanta . maybe Sunday Orakpo can have a game against Eli much like Dexter Manley had against Simms , when he sacked him 4 times in one game ( maybe 3 sacks ? ) Skins 26 NYG 16 . NYJ 27 CTurds 13 .

That was the second Giants game of 1986. In the first game the Giant's offensive Tackle Brad Benson held Dexter without a sack. Brad Benson made the probowl - in part because of the way he handled Manley. The second game Dexter was mad and took it out on Simms! Yes, I think it was four sacks!

Benson held Manely without a sack in the play offs, though. Giants went on to win the SB.

New Skin #'s we'll see during the game and for the season to come

Chris Neild #95
Roy Helu #29
Brandyn Thompson #32
Tim Hightower #25
Markus White #55

Donte Stallworth and Terrence Austin have the #18 which could mean Stallworth could be gone soon.

Ryan Torain has Butler County CC KS as his school instead of Arizona State

Another year of BS commentating I see.....
The Redskins-Giants game will be televised nationally on FOX. Joe Buck calls the play by play and Troy Aikman provides color commentary. Pam Oliver reports from the sidelines.
Redskins-Giants GameDay Preview

I've tried to be unbiased but I can't. Fox needs to get their heads out of their arses. He should be commentating the Dallas game. Let an ex-Redskin commentate. I'd even settle with an ex-Redskin and an ex-Giant on at the same time.

Clearly I'm old school. Team loyalty first. No way should an ex-cowboy be announcing a Redskin game. Heck I'll take Dexter Manley and or Riggo and their quarkyness all day over Aikman. I'd even take Joe Theismann.

Buck and Aikman are the #1 crew for Fox. It's a good sign when they are doing your game.

They don't assign games by past team affiliation and they shouldn't start to either.

Yes this "ITSHAY" again. I understand how they pick their announcers for each game, what I'm saying is it's BS that we have to put up with it. I'd take Billick over Aikman. Both work for Fox. Besides aren't the "Eagles" supposed to be the "Dream Team"? then they should be the ones garnering the "supposedly" best of the best of announcers. Let Aikmen announce the 1pm Eagles game and give the Skins Billick.

Especially since the Skins were ranked 31 last year and 31 this year and are being predicted to be last in their division. How the hell did we get sooo lucky to garner the #1 ranked announcing crew for FOX?

You know, I used to feel this way untill I figured out it was Joe Buck that annoys me. I used to watch the game and shake my head saying all the things you can imagine about the commentating, and then I realized, It's Buck that has his head up his ass, knows nothing, always hates on the Redskins, and generally ruins the broadcast. During the game pay attention to the praise that Aikman generally gives the Redskins where there is generally little to give, and watch Buck throw out stupid little jabs and put downs.
Joe Buck is an effing idiot..

Aikman has always been pretty fair and balanced. His man crush on Portis was always obvious too. I never once picked up on any anti-Skins bias from him.

Maybe I've missed something but I just don't get the hate on him, unless it's purely based on him being a Cowboy, but even then it's kind of a weak reason to me.

He's on Fox's payroll now, not the Cowboys. Get over it. As an analyst he does a pretty damn good job or he wouldn't be where he is.

Giants' D-Coord:

ZBerm Zach Berman
Fewell on new starters:“It might take me a couple weeks, a couple games before I know them. But we are learning each other right now."

If our offense can't find a way to score against them this week, then the pre-season meant even less than I already think it did. They have a 6th round rookie as their starting middle linebacker!

BINGO!

I even started out with maybe I'm old school but my bias is simply because he was a cowboy. You grow to not like some one because they play for the enemy then they end up announcing your game. Again I said it was a loyalty issue for me. Yes I suppose I should just accept it and move on and ignore the fact that he was the enemy, but as I said I have difficulty with that part.

Football completely changed for the worse back in 1994. Players switching teams, no player team or team player loyalty. I can only hope the Dallas fans are forced to listen to Theismann all the time.

This all the way. If people could get over their blind hate for Aikman being a former Cowboy they'd realize he's worthy of being on Fox's #1 team. Aikman is fair and balanced and has actually shown love to the Redskins. He's not only insightful about the game but he comes across in a great manner as well. It's Joe Buck that I can't stand. He comes across real uppity, and doesn't strike me as a fair and balanced analyst.

There was a time I think either last year or the year before where Aikmen seemed to be annoyed at the Skins, but honestly he's the best commentator in the game right now IMO. I personally enjoy when he does our games.

I cannot for the life of me, understand the completely unfounded and irrational love-affair with the New York Giants, this year.

They won a SB a few years ago.....and now they are "can't miss."

Awesome!

Has anyone in the media [not that I really give a squirt] even stopped to look at the possibility that the Giants right now are just not very good? It happens....I've seen teams that would have been SB contenders had they been healthy, completely miss the playoffs due to injury and/or other bad luck.

Even people who are picking the Skins have us barley scraping by with a last second field goal that bounces off the the upright five times ala the infamous "magic bullet" of conspiracy, whack-job yore.

For Christ sake....are we really that bad that we can't beat a team that should be hooked up to life support?

Seriously.....

I am not saying that their franchise has not taken a step back this year or that I do not think we can't win. BUT for us to turn the tides of this series it will take more than one year and more than one win. The Cowboys owned us until Gibbs came back. After a few years of us either sweeping or splitting with them it is finally not a forgone conclusion that when we play there can be a case made for either team to win no matter what the records of either team.
