Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Yeah I noticed a lot of people were putting it out there like he's gone. But he'll be around for a while.
From what I heard on the radio this morning he's taking on an expanded analyst role at the worldwide leader and just signed a 5 year deal in that capacity. I guess ESPN wanted a 2 man booth team for MNF. I really liked Jaws on MNF. I thought he was a great bridge between Gruden and Tirico. |

Yeah, that dude lays it on so thick |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I know there had been some talk that Jaws might be the new QB Camp host, but I don't know if that ever developed beyond just a thought

Ok I guess they would've done it right after. Really liked his analysis. Scared to see who they replace him with. |

Huh, I wonder what the Eagles are going to do with Steve Smith 2.0. He was pretty quiet last season. I wonder if he would be worth picking up as a younger option for the slot. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Gotta wonder if he's done now. How many more chances is he gonna get?
Effin bum.
My bet would be with Fisher and the Rams for vet min....... |

How about with Jim Washburn and the Eagles? Washburn is still in Philly right? |

He's definitely the most awesome, insightful, all powerful, ban trigger button happy source a person could have, but I'm only saying that because PFT is my only other option. ;) :laughing- |

I dont think Greg Williams would want him there. Id put my money on the eagles too with Washburn. Otherwise I think we see him cut at the end of training camp with whatever midmarket team he signs with (Bills?), at least one reckless driving/boating and/or assault charge within 2 years and a bankruptcy within 7. That third t in button is to put the extra emphasis on terminated isn't it? |

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I cant tell you how excited i am that Jaws is gone. I think Jaws is a pretty good announcer and analyst but i hate 3 guys in the booth fighting for air time . I like Gruden a lot and between the 2 of them id rather espn keep Gruden in the booth.
My Monday Night excitement would be even greater if ESPN completely removed Szuy Kolber from the sidelines aswell. Ive never seen a female sports caster look so wretched. She looks like she hasnt slept in years. |

There needs to be a button that bans someone, then unbans them only to ban them again soon after. Like someone tries to log on. Find out they've been banned. Log on a month later just to see if it works, magically they're back in. They go to post something then as soon as they click reply you get a message saying something like "Just kidding lol. UR Still banned hax111!!!111" |

I think he's about the go the way of Randy Moss. Talented enough to make any team in the league. However will play like a mid round round pick while demanding star treatment. Then again I'm hearing the Raiders need a DT and seeing as how they enjoy collecting Redskin castoffs. |

Looks like it might be a very interesting Free Agent Market.

I feel confident that they'll keep making the same moves they've made since Jerrah became GM, and they'll keep treading water. |

The Pats would make more sense, since they are running a 4-3 defense. That'd be pretty ridiculous with Williams and Wilfork on that d-line. |
