I have heard both you guys say that while Shanny isnt setting the world on fire you believe he is on the rite path. Ok so both you guys think Shanny is on the rite track , and Fish might hit the same bumps in the road as Shanny has?
If i have that rite do you think that fish inherited a better product than shanny?

In some ways yes he did. First and foremost he's got a young QB and he's got key skill players on defense but he's got a long ways to go. Rams have had some rough draft picks in recent years.

Look, all I was trying to say is we're 5 games...5 GAMES...into Fisher's tenure with the Rams. That's way way too early to draw any conclusions.

I hear you now. I tend to agree about fish inheriting the better team. Maybe (minus the qb situation) they were pretty equal talent wise but shanny certainly inherited more baggage players and expensive contracts.

Remember how people were viewing Zorn after his first 6 games?

I think we should all know that few of a games is too soon to be speculating on anything.

typical Danny Boy and Vinny bad move. Zorn head coach? I still shake my head thinking of how bad Dan Snyder ran this organization into the ground. Thank god for Bruce and Shanny and some fans seem to forgotten how bad of shape this organization was in just recently.

Because winning makes you look at things differently and losing makes you think things like "same old skins". its understandable - RG-3 makes me see hope even when we lose - im not really on either side of the shanny fence - i want the staff to stay in place simply for continuitys sake.

all i'm saying is the fish is the guy i've wanted since pre gibbs. his teams always put up a fight, regardless of talent. either way, that's not where we are right now, so let's hope shanny can figure this thing out at some point.

Okay, let's move on from the mood swing and back to the topic at hand.

I think the Pittsburgh/Iggles game is going to be interesting. Also looking forward to seeing P. Manning and T. Brady renew their rivalry.

are you going to drop danny? what other fish are in the sea at wr?

TheMalcolmConnection 10-05-2012 02:51 PM

Re: Around the NFL...Week 5 Style

Yeah, I'm dropping him. It was one of those, "couldn't hurt" type of pick-ups. Basically people horde players in our league and no matter what you offer, they won't trade anyone.

TheMalcolmConnection 10-05-2012 02:52 PM

Re: Around the NFL...Week 5 Style

My wife randomly picked up Alfred Morris early when we were thinking the Skins would be rotating backs. I'm like WTF, she ALWAYS picks up a gem randomly.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 5 Style

Oh man, this just made me laugh my a$$ off. This is from Bill Simmon's Grantland page:

Fact: Andy Reid ALWAYS wins after a bye week. Problem: There's only 1 bye week and 1 Andy Reid. Solution: We need 2 Andy Reids! Then we can swap them out every week for guaranteed victories and twice the challenge-flag abuse. We just need to clone Andy Reid, maybe insert a few genes for better timeclock management, start growing him in a test tube, then feed the clone lots of HGH and Big Macs to quickly get him up to adult size. It should be easy to convince the current Andy Reid that the NFL just went to a 8-game schedule with games every other week, and then use the clone. I can't see any flaws in this plan at all. By the way, I may or may not be a biochem major who just learned how to splice DNA, so if you see a story on SportsCenter about a bizarre incident where some random guy stabbed Andy Reid with a syringe and took some blood, it totally wasn't me.

Have a seat for 3 additional games to go along with that 6 game suspension. Enjoy.

3 of 16 WHATTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

Chris Johnson is the epitome of why RBs have a hard time getting the big contract: 8 rushes 12 yards and a fumble.
