I'm pretty sure the only two players remaining from the last Redskins -Seattle playoff game is Santana Moss and Chris Cooley, no?

Re: Seahawks Redskins Rookie Showdown
I agree with this, but what is really weird is as they talk about Seattle, I am usually thinking ok but the Skins do that too. For example, Adam Schein yesterday was listing his reasons for Seattle and it was something like this:
qb who is mature and protects the ball. great running back creative headcoach team on a hot streak
and I kept thinking so when are you going to saay something that describes only Seattle. I think the numbers favor Seattle slightly, but they are skewed by a few games and Seattles homefield advantage. I think our strengths, varied run options, a good midrange passing game- primarily playaction, actually matchup very favorably against what the seahawks are built to stop. This game may come down to the wire but I will be seriously stunned if the seahawks beat us.
I heard Schein's breakdown too and I was also wondering what from his list didn't also apply to the Skins. It's almost like everyone forgot this week that we've won 7 straight, are playing at home, and have the #1 rushing offense in the league. I think everyone that's been drooling all over Seattle is in for a bit of a surprise come Sunday evening. |

Yeah this clip pretty much sums up our passing game and why it works so well. |
Should we call the game now for Seattle?
I've been listening to local radio stations in the DC & Seattle areas. The biggest difference I've noticed is in DC it's more about how/why we win vs. Seattle. Where as in Seattle they're looking to who they're playing next. It's as if the game tomorrow is just a formality & they're ready for ATL. I love it! This will make their loss all the more devastating. I can't wait to see the shock on Seattle fans faces. |

I think we match up better with SF than we do with ATL. |
Re: Seahawks Redskins Rookie Showdown
If we beat Seattle tomorrow, are the any scenarios where we'd get another home game?

I believe if Minnesota beats GB then beats Atlanta, Washington beats Seattle and then SF, the NFC championship would be hosted at Fedex. |

yep thats the only scenario; highly unlikely another games at FedEx after tomorrow |
I want to play Atlanta in Atlanta next week so go GB

Fletch too. Moss and Cooley have been around for our last two playoff games against them, Fletch for the last one. |

Teams that travel across the country generally have a bad record. Atlanta isn't playing very well either. |

I don't entirely disagree with your reasoning. However: 1) SF, like ATL, also has not been playing its best 2) I think we match up better against SF. The SF offense runs better than it throws and our defense is better at stopping the run than it is against the pass. A matchup with ATL means that our leaky secondary must stop Jones, White, and Gonzalez. |
Re: Seahawks Redskins Rookie Showdown
Man,
I can't wait for the game tomorrow. Just bouncing around ESPN site looking at stats, and previous games. No break out stat that shows how we will just crush them to smithereens, but nothing from there's that made it seem like they are going to win it going away either. a couple things interested me though, Wilson had 0 300 yard games, and 8 sub 200 yard games. Garcon was our leading receiver against NO, and then again in our last 6 games. Griffin had 3 300 yard games, but also 6 sub 200 yard games (including the 2nd Dallas game where he threw for 100) Lynch is a helluva a consistent 5ypa runner. Looking at his splits the only one that slightly varied was on grass he was more of a 4.1 ypa vs 5.5 on turf. Really want the game to start now dang it! |
Why ATL rather than SF?
Because RG3 on turf in a dome is damn near unstoppable |

Atlanta always plays like doo doo butt in the first round of the playoffs. ALWAYS. I so want to go to ATL because one of my friends is a huge ATL fan and hates the Skins (for whatever reason) and I sooooo want to stick it to him baaaaad! |

You'll see tomorrow why we are a new team and that with Robert we can beat anyone. SEATTLE isn't as good as most say they are, the last 8 games have been cake for them besides SF. They almost got swept by STL |

I hope the Skins show up huge. But to Schein's breakdown, he almost always says he will take the better coach, the better qb. By that standard we win today, and I don't think it's close with regard to coaching. |
