Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

So Brady's offensive coordinator said it wasn't a dropped ball, yet you guys are up here saying it was. Blows my mind. I guess you all know more than he does. SMDH

O'Brien: Wes Welker Super Bowl play not a drop
The ball, thrown high and behind, caromed off the hands of Welker, who was wide open and could have put New England in the red zone with a catch.
Also, the Giants offensive coordinator said it was a bad pass.

Bill O’Brien comes to defense of Patriots' Wes Welker - The Boston Globe
“It wasn’t a great throw,’’ Gilbride said. “It would have been a difficult catch. Welker was expecting the ball to the inside, where it should be on a seam route.’’
If anything, it would have been a spectacular catch by Welker.

I don't hate Brady, I hate fanboys constantly swinging on his nuts and giving him credit for a lot that he doesn't do, and push off the blame when he fails.

How's the game looking so far? I refuse to watch and my Facebook thread is quiet which must mean the Ravens are losing.

So now a shoulder to the head is a 15 yd penalty.

Why don't you just require all players to wear flags around their belts, Roger?
I don't think its a force to hire, just to interview.
No , the NFL specifically wants minorities in as head coaches. I know some may take this the wrong way, but I don't see equality in regards to the ratio of black players to white players, so I'm not seeing a problem with hiring the best candidates for head coaches even if it turns out to be that all hired happen to be white.

Now that was a drop by Welker...lol
Dude, it was a ****ing horrible pass. Stop making excuses for Tom. jesus you nut huggers are ridiculous.

Tom's a clutch, 3 time SB, so when he fails, it's somebody else fault. Nope. It wasn't Tom.
Brady probably slept with your GF. Lol.

Why didn't the Pats get a penalty for the same hit?

Pats always get the benefit of the doubt. Of course, I didn't see helmet to helmet.

NC_Skins, pats get all the calls this is nothing new. Patriots are like the duke blue devils of football with getting calls.
Why didn't the Pats get a penalty for the same hit?
Same reason a ratbird receiver (Boldin?) didn't get a penalty for pushing off then running over a corner. The referees are unpredictable as hell on penalties more than 5 yds downfield. It's a long-running joke now. Only thing guaranteed is that the D gets screwed in the long run.

It wouldn't change things even if he did. I know Brady is a great QB, but I also know when he ****s up. If Ravens keep dicking around, they are going to blow this game.

Stop the Rice screen passes. Pats secondary is their weakness. Throw downfield.

I will be rooting so hard for the 49ers. Pats really stunk it up this game.

For some reason, he always plays good against the Pats. Opposite for how he plays against Pittsburgh.

Ive noticed over the years, the Patriots arent as good in the playoffs when they cant cheat. I think there is a correlation here.

Dang I cant believe Pats and Falcs both lost today... Maybe SmootSmack called this SB correct by going with Baltimore. Just luck is all ;)

BaltimoreSkins 01-20-2013 09:40 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

Hopefully Baltimore will fall short in the Super Bowl and Flacco will squeeze every last dollar out of them based on his last two games and send them into cap hell.
