I remember on Seinfeld when he pretended to be married so he could get a discount on dry cleaning but ended up getting "divorced" because he couldnt handle the responsibilities of a pretend marriage; it seems like MT can handle having a pretend girlfriend.

It's really too bad that there isn't anything interesting about the Redskins to discuss, so we're stuck obsessing over another guy's fake girlfriend. That being said, what is relevant here is how this is going to affect his draft value. Right now there is just no way of knowing; the mushroom cloud is still expanding so to speak, and it will be weeks before things settle down to the point at which reasonable judgements can be made by NFL squads about Te'o's mental condition (for lack of a better term).

I dont see Te'o being a great NFL player at all. He got shredded by the closest thing to an NFL offense he's ever played against in the championship game. He also does not have strong leadership skills (and has been described as "childlike" by peers and interviewers), which is something you absolutely need from the QB of your defense. I certainly wouldnt want us wasting our 2nd round pick on him.

Might be less than the world average. All the homophobia that flows in and around football is a probably a pretty good deterrent towards gay people. I have a lot respect for gay players, regardless if they are closet or not, for spending almost everyday of their lives in an discriminating environment. I couldn't imagine dealing with that.

They used to be in a relationship together, something happened, he was the girlfriend he was always talking about and then they did not talk, everyone asked and he made up stories about how she was in a car accident and such. As ive said before they might have been little white lies just so that he was "one of the guys". He might have had no intention to ever marry her or meet her? Might have been beefing up a simple on line love affair into something greater and really thought she died. Not sure why that is so crazy. Im sure alot of teenagers- 20 year olds lie about getting laid or having girlfriends to fit in. When ur the stud player on the nd football team and the big man on campus i would imagine it would be more pressure to have your friends think as much.

Edit: when i say lie i mean he didnt lie about her existence. I believe he lied about little things to "beef up" the relationship. Again this is my opinion obviously. If im rite i dont blame him or fault him. Unless ur name is George Washington you have lied at some point in your life.
