Of those three, the only I regret is Rogers. Wish he was still here rather than D.Hall. I would agree that a bad call was made there.

While I liked Carter, getting younger through Rak, Kerrigan, Jackson and now Jenkins has been to me, a much better plan than holding onto a converted 4-3 end at the end of his career.

Landry? whatever. No regrets. Could have been useful last year given the holes in the secondary, but, really, he had worn out his welcome.

Agreed... wish things could have worked out with Rogers but I think both sides needed a change.

Landry couldn't stay healthy his last 2 yrs here. Carter was simply a bad scheme fit once we went 3-4.

You just want to avoid a trend of really talented players leaving. Landry had his wars with the training staff, and two years later we still have a questionable training staff and the Jets (what a great organization they are!) got a pro-bowl safety on a cheap deal. I do think the Colts overpaid him badly, for what its worth.

All in all, it doesn't seem to be a huge deal because we were able to get it together mid-way through last season, so I don't want to focus on the past. The Redskins have what looks to be a league-average roster in the present (not something they had in 2010, 2011 or pre-season 2012), but with some of the highest upside in the NFL at quarterback, which is the really big reason to be optimistic.

I can guarantee they are fake based in the fact that I've seen them from her phone and I really don't think shed try to make fake photos. Basically she told me her and RG3 started as friends bc he met that mallow guy through twitter, she now thinks rg3 is a bit of a strange character/nerd and she is really rude to him now and wants to capitalize off his stupidity of sending some random girl off twitter, he has snapchats, facetimea, texts ect, i think its just a matter of time before the story blows up, but if he can still play football I honestly could care less, he can get all the side action he can handle lol

There is no guarantee of anything, including two ACL tears means its going to happen once a year for the rest of his career.

Lets apply the injury angle across the board. Having back surgery can be difficult to come back from, especially for linemen. So is safe to say that JPP's career is over or that he will never be the same as he was early in his career? Or is that overstating things?[/quote]

No person said it(his knee injury) will happen once a year (a little dramatic don't ya think) but you must consider his position and the fact that he has had the same injury on the same knee twice now. As for JPP his career is not shot because of one injury(again you are dramatic) but if he has back surgery again to fix what was already done ,yes I would say he wasn't the same player. Yet as I said before the players position has a lot to do with the injury and whether a player can play with it or not.

So me and my GF are thinking about going to the Oakland game in Sept. It's pretty easy to get seats, beautiful part of the country and we have friends/family near there. I discussed this issue with her and she seems to think that's it's a non issue. Me on the other hand knows how the Oakland fans are and prefer not to go to the game.

I hate statements like that. The money obviously went somewhere. If the money really was lost instead: On disaster, unexpected expenses like say vandalism or lawsuits or lack of fan revenue, who knows... then how can Trask say that a deal that works is possible? :saywhat:

I actually think reducing stadium size as a whole is a good idea. 50K might be too small but the 85K and larger stadiums lend themselves to being flooded by opposing team fans.

Maybe with PSLs and such, going to the game has become, more and more, only for the few people that can afford a lot?

I obviously haven't studied the dynamics, but something that I think about is a 3D/IMAX broadcasting partnership with major movie chains, problem I imagine is most of the concession money would be lost, but maybe some creative businessmen could create models that work.

Maybe NFL could even build (or buy closed out) theaters and renovate them into "Satellite Stadiums" that hold Sunday/Monday/Thursday games, and that way they keep the concession money in house. Other days could be filled with feature films, especially in the summer months, and probably throw in NFL Films days too, where "Best of " regional team games are shown. In Skins country for example, a RFK size stadium, plus regional theater satellites in a few Richmond counties, PG County, Alexandria and Silver Springs, would probably all draw capacity crowds, and make the "at the stadium" experience better.

Satellite theaters make even more sense in rural cities where NFL fans rarely get to experience the feel of live action.

Again, maybe none of this is plausible, but I think it's worth considering over these mega-stadiums.

My guess is that losing the concession money is the biggest reason that stadiums won't shrink, and I don't know a solution to that.
