Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Yeah did he even have 20 catches this yr??
In 2013 Josh Morgan had... 33 targets, 20 catches, for 214 yards and no TDs. Womp womp. |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
I dont think Eric Decker would be worth the money. He's decent but I think would could develop someone like him and would rather spend low on Nicks or James Jones who both would be bigger threats in the passing game. To me:
Outside: Garcon Nicks Slot: Emmanuel Sanders TEs: J. Reed Ed Dickson Pauleson RB: Alfmo Helu Dexter McCluster/KR/PR/SlotWR/3rdRB |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Stop asking for Nicks, people. You'll regret it.
|
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
So we're going to run two tight end sets?
How about Dennis Pitta opposite Jordan Reed? |

1 year deal wouldnt be a risk, i wouldnt give him a large multi year deal. |

I think there are better options than Nicks out there. I'd rather see James Jones or Jacoby Jones (if the Ravens would let him go) or even Maclin before Nicks. Not that Nicks can't ball but he was so inconsistent last year. I know he was battling an injury though. |

Yea no Nicks..... Were gonna pickup somebody at wide reciever like we did Josh Morgan most recent, im gonna hate it, and im gonna be right because id take literally 3 players from who i saw and two are based off returning. I like Alex Mack at Center or Wharton Panthers RG |

He wants paid though. He's held out over money before and is basically a taller version of DeSean Jackson, attitude-wise at least. |

I don't see the Ravens keeping Jacoby Jones. |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Jacoby Jones would be a great addition. At 29, he won't be a stud KR much longer. But if he isn't asking for much more than the 3 million/year he's making now, he'd be worth it. Our WR corps could certainly use him.

EXPECT he had a chance to come here before and declined. |

If I had the chance to play for either the Ravens or the Redskins, I wouldn't come here either. But I think the Ravens have had their glory years. I don't see them being a Super Bowl contender next year either. |

As it turns out, Decker's rather publicly married and expecting a young buck, anyway, as these photos attest: Y! SPORTS |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
If we're going to sign a FA WR it should be a guy like Decker. He seems like the safest investment at the position.

James Jones is a very talented receiver with speed and size but he's another one one those players who drops too many passes. I'd take a good look at him, though. Jacoby Jones would be great to have as a PR/KR but I don't think he'd do much for us as a receiver. Nevertheless, I wouldn't rule him out. Now, Maclin (when healthy) could really upgrade our WR corps. He can do it all. Put him opposite Garcon and that would give opponents something to worry about. I'm on the fence about Nicks. |

So funny you say that. My wife watched it and was like "I don't see how it's possible, but there is a person alive more ridiculous than Kim K."

Davone Bess is self-destructing (the latest: assaulting an officer) and could be a free agent soon.

Byrd should be at the very top of our free agency targets. Stop #1 for Redskins One. It's so obvious it hurts.

QUAKE, you are definitely on the list of people I'd love to meet in person. That comment further cements the need to partake of booze one day.

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
If Byrd wants to come to Washington for cheap, Skins should get him.
I truly hope they don't approach him with an empty check like they might have done in the old days. |

Yea hes the best safety available. Funny thing is hed be worth it. Whats the verdict if wether we think dhall will be back? I think its important we bring him back.. but the comments he made something wasnt right. Was that a shot at danny to not resign him? |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Now that we know that we will run a 3-4 and a West Coast offense. I think we should target the following players. Not saying we should get all these players, just target them.
Offense: Chris Johnson (if Cut) Justin Blackmon and a third round pick trade for Kirk Cousins- I know I am going to catch slack for this but it would help both teams. Emmanuel Sanders Kenny Britt Josh Morgan Garrett Graham Michael Oher Geof Schwartz Chad Rinehart Alex Mack Defense: B.J. Raji Aubrayo Franklin Terrence Cody Brian Orakpo Karlos Dansby Perry Riley Aqib Talib DeAngelo Hall Jarius Byrd Antoine Bethea |

I do like free agents. I just like bargains. Like Cliff Avril or Wes Welker. I thought those were incredible team friendly moves. |
