Don't want Crabtree anywhere near this organization...Sherman was right about that fool
Crabtree would be either the 3rd or 4th WR. I am okay with that.
Again ... at the right price. Crabtree should not get starter money from us. Probably will from somebody else.
Crabtree attitude and demeanor would be a concern, add the injuries, and the fact he is a card caring certified douchebag...I don't want him. Keim is saying San diego has a ton of interest...hopeful him and rivers can douche it out together in stay classy land |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Well, apparently it's a done deal.
Jeron Johnson (born June 12, 1988) is an American football strong safety for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. He was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Boise State. He was recently signed by the Redskins to help out with the defensive backs for the 2015 season.
Jeron Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I have no idea why his Wikipedia page is saying this. It is not reported anywhere. I wouldn't give it too much weight, however, Chris Russell's twitter had a screenshot of the page where it said Johnson signed with the Skins for a two year $700M contract. lol |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Ok, I'm really nervous about this Culliver signing now after reading this because of the cap money he got and all this other legal crap.
FFS! Culliver gets $16 million fully guaranteed at signing | ProFootballTalk
if he can't play due to off field issues, his guarantees are voided and he has to pay back part of the signing bonus, so it's really important (for him) that he remains available to play. if he goes to jail tomorrow, the skins are out basically nothing (financially). if he can stay on the field, it's basically a 2 year guaranteed contract w/ 2 team option years, which is pretty favorable. |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Chris Culliver, Bashaud Breeland, Jeron Johnson liking that secondary so far
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
well if that is true and we got Johson for THAT price..i LOVE the signing. young potential starter from a winning organization who automatically beefs up our ST.TWO thumbs up for this one. i honestly am liking ALL of our signings thus far. Now if SM can get us Cox and Gresham id be totally satisfied with our FA offseason...and we would be WINNING OFF THE FIELD in the RIGHT way. At this point i would just address the LB and OL thru the draft.... nothing at all left as far as RT goes in FA.

Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Folks, Johnson isn't even in town until Sunday. Per Keim, meet and greet dinner Sunday night, business meeting scheduled for Monday.
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
ive heard and read its a Sunday and Monday meeting as well. and there is no news of his signing via Johnsons Twitter..of which he is very active.... so i doubt its actually a done deal yet...even moreso at that price..lol

Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Here's the breakdown of Culliver's first two years of the deal. Still interested to see how his whole hit and run situation plays out. Sounds like his court date is set for April. Sounds like there is also a pending civil suit too.
2015 Base salary: $3 million Cap hit: $4.25 million Note: His base salary is fully guaranteed. 2016 Base salary: $8 million Cap hit: $9.25 million Note: His base salary is fully guaranteed. There is no cap savings if he were cut with a post-June 1 designation. R. Sherman describes our new starting safety's play:
“Jeron is always disciplined,” Sherman said in August, according to The Associated Press. “He’s always technically sound. He’s right where he needs to be. He’s always in the right spot doing the right thing. Calling out the plays. He’s a very sound player. He’s going to make the open-field tackle. We don’t miss a beat when he’s out there.”
Redskins sign Jeron Johnson to two-year deal - Washington Times |

We finally have a real safety. What impresses me more than anything else is Scot McCloughan is trying to fix our defense first. He realizes from his time in Seattle that a strong defense can take you a long way, or at least a defense without serious holes in the lineup. Our new defensive line will not be pushed around and our corners are set. FS and RT left to sort out in draft and FA late camp cuts from other teams. This guys does not waste any time. |
