I love lamp.

Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
Do you really love the lamp or are you just saying it because you saw it? :D
|
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
We needed to draft Bill Brasky at QB

Lamp love lasts. Lately, low light lamps leave lacerations.

Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
Nah. I think we made smart picks across the board. Griffin might look good this year you never know. Its all about now now now i understand but sometimes it takes time. Im thinking best case scenario which is griffin plays well. But one thing i see happening is a fierce defense this year.

And for me drafting a QB isn't about now, now, now I view it as taking the long view.
But I agree 100% the best case scenario is for Griffin or any of the QBs to play well. |

QB draft opportunities revisited....

Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
This doesn't rule out 🇩afting a QB this yr. Not in the first but I could see 2nd if one of those guys fall

Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
How much time/years/seasons/money has this franchise wasted by completely ignoring drafting at the most important position in football since 2015.
|
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
I can assure you a QB will be drafted at some point in the early rounds this yr. Or else we are screwed again. That's why I want to lose out but knowing our luck we will finish 8-8 some freaking how

It sure seemed like the plan was never to give Cousins, so yes major mistake. If the plan was to give Cousins a long term contract then not so much a big deal. Again this is all on Bruce Allen and the front office. They botched the Cousins deal from day 1 |
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
While I realise they are different situations the Giants are giving serious consideration to keeping Eli and going after a QB in 2020 when there is a better QB class coming out. Using this year to rebuild the defense and O line.
Would the Skins consider a stop gap type QB and look to draft one in 2020? |
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
People in this forum refused to even discuss the possibility that not drafting a QB since 2015 was mistake, in fact many vehemently said it wasn't a mistake.
How many QBs has this franchise passed on? Look how much money has been spent between Cousins and Alex Smith compared to draft picks? The past 3 years have been a case study in lack of foresight at the most important position in the NFL. |

We should reach or trade unless we absolutely love the guy. Still the decision makers of the next QB is more important than the position itself. imo |

Complete mismanagement, this is why nobody takes this team seriously |

Cousins low-balled himself when he was demanding money that should only be paid to an elite QB that can carry a team. See how well that's working out in Minnesota. Allen's biggest mistake was not trading Cousins once they should have realized he wasn't going to play here no matter what. |

I think the Skins thought in the first two years that the first FT was a reasonable and normal part of the longterm dance. Once they realized KC was being a whiny bot they should have traded him for value and brought in drafted qb's, but KC put up real good numbers, and DS was too much of an aggrieved whiny bot to shut up and trade him to KShanahan |

Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
No one could have imagined losing QB1 and QB2 in the same season due to broken legs. Sure it would have been nice to have someone on the practice squad, they tried that in 2016 with Sudfeld and the Eagles signed him away.

You can blame Cousins all you want but the FO screwed that up big time. KC is definitely not elite but he is definitely worth the 17th highest QB contract in the NFL. |

MTK is right , no GM could have envisioned this happening . Maybe you just stay with Sanchez for a year or possibly trade for a younger back up without breaking the bank and wait till 2020 |

Ehhh I don’t know. I think a lot of GM’s could have seen at least that Alex Smith was not going to be as good as Cousins and locked Cousins up but hey this is where we are at so..... |
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
‘Just stay with Sanchez for a year’.
Let that register......really? How did we get to this place called Bruce Allenville. It is time for a change. |
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
Alex Smith's future is in doubt...and there are a lot of great QBs coming out....Tyree Jackson, Will Grier, Dwayne Haskins, and Brett Rypien(Mark's nephew)...they can get a franchise passer in the 2nd or 3rd rounds....
|
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
#WVU QB Will Grier will not participate in the 2018 Camping World Bowl vs #Syracuse and will focus on his preparation for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Our guy (well My guy) is not taking any chances on injury. |
Re: Not drafting a QB a mistake?
What I'd like to know is why haven't we signed a QB off someone's practice squad with an eye on next year? Is there really nobody out there we had a draft grade on or are possibly interested in at all?? Even as a camp arm? Bueller?
|

Well according to the analyst next year(2020) is the year for QB's. |

Heard the same thing here too. 2019 draft is really thin at QB. Some QB starved team will over reach for a guy that would have been graded in lower rounds any other year. |

Tyree Jackson is a horrible passer though. I bet he doesn't go until the 5th or 6th unless he had a GREAT combine |

Cousins was not going to sign with the skins. He wanted to romanced and taken to the prom so he could fall on his back with his legs in the air. |

This is true, on his special that was on NFLN he said he wanted to be able to "Pick" where to play again. |

Because after three years it was pretty obvious that we didn’t want to lock him up. Anyway. What’s done is done. |
