I just read that the Patriots have not issued AB a number yet. It is not looking any too promising that they will keep him around.

But I hear your point. Patriots have an established record of handling sexual assault charges. They drafted a player from Nebraska who was later accused of sexual misconduct and immediately released him. Albert Haynesworth pleaded no-contest to a charge of a similar nature, and the Patriots released him too.

Since this is a civil, and not a criminal case, the most the NFL might do is place him on the Commissioners exempt list. But even that is a long shot at this point.

I think the Pats hold him out of practice and he will not play this week. Listening to the radio this morning and it was reported that the Patriots front office has seen the emails AB allegedly sent this lady and were shocked to say the least. Reportedly very graphic correspondence.[/quote]
