Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
I don't discredit his knowledge and as far as this "BIG NAME GUY"
Unless that guy is Bill Parcells I'm not sold on any decision BA makes in bringing in a GM
Don’t expect to be sold on whoever it is. Bruce will still be the puppet master. When Jerry said the reason everything is silent now was because the team was working on bringing this guy in, whom dan/Bruce were excited about, Kevin said he knew who he was talking about and by his tone of voice, he was underwhelmed. They later discussed how they tried to do something similar with bringing in scot before but then Bruce got jealous that Scot was praised as the white knight so Bruce got rid of him. I would not be shocked if the same thing happens again with whatever puppet they bring in this time. I’m not optimistic. Seems like the FO is repeating its same mistakes over and over. Unless Bruce is out of the building, nothing will change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

#sameshit this org is rotting from the inside do to incompetence.
Agree. Cooley has been critical and blunt about the coaches and players. He has never openly criticised Dan and had been very veiled in anything that could be construed as criticism toward Bruce. His code word for Bruce is talking about the FO generically. With respect to Dan, his go to answer is this wasn't a great move by the FO but Dan wants to win. He always couches it in shots taken at the FO, never at Dan and Bruce directly. Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
bruce allen has been here long enough to be judged by his record. he needs to go. gruden is in the same boat. and after the second giants game, i cant believe anyone wants him back. if the skins are going to draft a QB, thats another reason to fire gruden. get the new coach in place, so the rookie isnt consistently learning a new system
Jerry brewer was on sheehans show yesterday and they wouldn’t name the person, but we’re both aware that the team is working really hard at bringing in someone to replace Bruce as president of football ops. It’s a “big name” that they (Bruce and dan) are extremely excited about, but the fans probably won’t be. This person will be the new face of the football operations and hailed as a savior; however Bruce will still lurking around and pulling the strings.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bruce really needs to go. He will slyly undermine the new guy within one chaotic year. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Cooley to handle the "reconnecting with the fans" part of the Brian L. job duties. You heard it here first. :joecool:

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Redskins with biggest fan attendance dip, that aboy Danny and Bruce...

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Sheehan said on his podcast yesterday that Cooley working for the Redskins (other than his current podcast gig), was "a long shot".

Cooley seriously needs to catch on somewhere as an assistant and start working his way up. Assuming he wants to give up his cushy gig in the booth.

I don’t think Cooley wants to coach. I think he wants a front office job. When the broncos, 49ers, and now raiders have hired talking heads with no front office experience as actual GMs, it’s not unreasonable to think Cooley could get a job as a director of college scouting or something somewhere. You won't find too many people that are publicly critical of their boss, regardless if it's the truth or not. Now if Cooley were employed by The FAN, then he very well might be. |
