Great! I'm still on his band wagon....certainly didn't want to waste that pick, not to mention the need for youth at that position. |

Receiver Leonard Hankerson had his best day catching the ball, grabbing a variety of throws, one down low another where he had to reach up high and others that were between the numbers. Got ‘em all. He ran a good route vs. Brandyn Thompson in which he planted out, in and back out. He shook Thompson, squared his shoulder and came back for the ball. Trust he wont find himself in a situation where if things don't go well around him (like they did for Grossman) he'll find himself pressing to measure up and thereby make mistakes. This is the perfect opportunity for him. |

Banks isn't expected to play on Friday, so a chance for someone else at the bottom of the WR chart to step up

We can sample other returners not named Aldrick Robinson, who should never be allowed to field a punt again. |
We can sample other returners not named Aldrick Robinson, who should never be allowed to field a punt again.
I'm pretty sure I heard on CSN that Friday was the first time he had ever fielded a punt in a game. That said, I hope the experiment is short lived.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Id like to see Austin or Paul returning ko and punts.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
You've got to try AR again could be first game jitters or the NFL is just to BIG for him we need to find out. IMO.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Remember BB coughed up a couple last preseason too.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
But AR was not just bad, he was really bad, and made some very poor decisions. He was as off as a Shayne Graham field goal attempt.
I say give Austin a chance. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I hope Beck gets to play the whole first half. I'm really curious to see how he does for an entire half.

New Tight End...
"Grant Paulsen The #Redskins have signed TE Tony Curtis. He last played in the regular season with the #Cowboys in 2008."
I hope Beck gets to play the whole first half. I'm really curious to see how he does for an entire half.
I would have liked to see Beck against the Steelers first-team instead of the Colts. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
AR has to learn to look the ball all the way into his hands before he looks up field.
