Who pays for the stadium?
It wont be public money as long as they are called Redskins. Snyder wanting public money for a new stadium will be the reason he changes the name.
Kinda my point while I like your Lbers ,I just don't know if you have found the person to replace Fletcher yet .
I don't think finding Fletcher's replacement is going to be hard, considering he was awful last year. He hasn't covered a TE in 3 years. Looking forward to seeing some new blood at that position.

I think we will see much improved play at ILB and Safety this year from the defense. Fletcher struggled immensely as did Rambo and oft-injuried Merriweather. Its all about key guys staying healthy.

Word around OTAs, Keenan Robinson and Phillip Thomas looked really good, stood out. I know its early, but wouldnt surprise me to see both excell in camp and get a chance to start.

Great to hear. Especially about Thomas. What a bonus it would be if this guy stays healthy and contributes the way i think he can.
I would've probably said DHall since he takes the opponents best WR.<snip>
Yeah, I agree with this. Orakpo's the best defensive player we have, but not the most indispensable. That would be DeAngelo Hall. If Orakpo had walked, we'd still have Kerrigan, Murphy, Jackson, and Jenkins at OLB; not exactly bare at that spot. But if DeAngelo were gone, who covers the #1's? 2nd year pro Amerson? Porter? Hall's loss would be devastating.

Edit: That being said, Orakpo is also important to the D. Definitely worth the money he's getting.

Yea and if there is money involved I don't see Snyder caring as much as he seems to care now about the name. Snyder really likes his money.

I would be opposed to anyone giving Snyder money to build a new stadium, especially either state or city.
When it is all said and done, I don't think it will be Orakpo who is our best defensive player. (He is the best now and I think we sign him long term) but in the long run I dont think he will be the best.
Trick question. The answer is RG3...because the best defense is a good offense

1. Yes. It would be great. It would almost be like getting extra draft picks this year since they would be getting on the field for the first time.

2. I remember the exact same things being said about Jenkins in his second year after coming back from a rookie injury. Once they went live, he has never been better than "meh".

I hope Thomas and Robinson bring it in the regular season. Count me amongst the uber-skeptical on these two. Thomas is one year removed from playing and Robinson two - and that's from the college level. The shock and speed of the September pro game in full pads is incomparable to Spring's shorts and tees. I will believe it when I see it.

There is no chance DS will build a new stadium on his own dime.

I'm in no way a snyder fan/defender/supporter/etc, but that's hardly unique to him.

The NFL has successfully made itself a bully to local, state, and in a sense even the federal government. All these new stadiums are being financed by governments. If I recall, even JKC had FedEx paid for by PG County; the redskins just have a 30 year lease on the stadium.

Definitely not unique to DS.

If memory serves JKC built Fed Ex with his own money which is why he called it JKC Stadium and why DS changed the name as fast as he could. JKC did have PGC and the State of MD pay for road improvements and upgrades near the stadium but not the stadium itself.

Hmmm.... that sounds more like what I remember hearing now that I think of it.

I hope this doesn't turn into a serious problem. I don't know much about hamstring injuries, but Miles Austin was pretty much decimated by them. Don't recall hearing about Jackson having issues with the Eagles though, so it's probably nothing.
