KO line was the 35 prior to 94 when they moved it to 30 to try to increase scoring.
I've been thinking about this kickoff thing too...thinking it sucks for us since we have Banks....but lets look at this realistically and historically....there were no issues prior to 94...its just that now the average kicker has superior distance vs back then. I really think it is a break even for the skins because we have a great kick returner and a kicker that can force touchbacks the majority of the time...if you get rid our our kicker...well...thats a different story. |

OJ Atogwe's been having a good camp, but is rehabbing a hammy right now, but I heard that he's dating Mike Singletary's daughter. Looked her up, and she isn't that bad looking
Per Rich Campbell: Ryan Torain (broken left hand) is now cleared to take handoffs in RB drills, a team official said. Limited contact on his hand for now, tho
Good to see Torain can now begin working his way back. The NFL has now become a multi-back league and has been for some time. It doesn't matter much who starts between Torain and Hightower, both, if healthy, will get plenty of playing time. I'm glad we have two RBs who both gained over 725 yards last year. Maybe they could do the same as a combo this year. |

Who's this Torain fellow is he any good? Why do we need him, we already have 3 good backs. |

Not sure if this is the right forum but ...
Football Futures Betting, 2011 Super Bowl Odds at Bodog Sportsbook It's kind of comical how little the sports world thinks of the Redskins -- we finished with the same record as the Cowboys last season and beat the eventual champs (packers) but for some reason we are 100/1 favorites to win the SB but the cowturds are 18/1. God I hope we surprise some people this year. |

Totally agree, I need to see him at least return the ball a couple of times before I can form an opinion.... |

He's the guy we all thought was a pretty-good RB (when healthy) and produced to the extent where he was projected the starter at the position going into the 2011 season.....that lasted until the names Hightower, Helu and Royster emerged. I would not have known that DB had it not been for the great video work you did. :) |

Rookie notes, particularly Hankerson at the #4 receiver spot.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I think people had way too high expectations of Nield. 7th round pick and we were talking about him fighting for possibly a starting spot.
That said, I am disappointed in Capers and Cook. Not sure either makes the team. So those are two young OL that potentially flopped for us. |
