Pretty much sums up how I feel about this trade, now that it is a week old.

Now I'll vote how I'm not in favor.

That's a lot of our future right there, and I would have preferred to trade back, not up!

Giants fans said the same for Eli but they aren't anymore

the trade is a done deal, get over it. i will say it again, we gave up 2 #1's and 1 #2. not 3 #1's, we still have a #1 pick this year. we have missed on QB's in the past but the two most recent were Campbell and Ramsey both late 1st round picks. we are going for it hoping to get a franchise QB, who knows if it will pan out.

How did the redskins' future look to you without Manning or RGIII at qb?

It was iffy at best for me looking at the redskins without one of those 2.

I certainly don't want to minimize the value of a first round pick, but we have had good first round picks for the last decade and haven't gotten over the hump. Every single person knows what we need first and foremost is a top level qb. While one or two of the second level qbs most likely will make it I am a cynical enough skins fan to assume whichever one we took will be a bust. Not the best rationale for supporting the trade(assuming general incompetence in a teams ability to pick the best mid level guy) but it is what it is.

A week after the trade I realize how historic it was. Only the Herschel Walker trade involved as many #1's going from one team to another, making the Griffin trade arguably bigger than even the Ricky Williams deal.

That said, I feel very comfortable with it. If a historic trade gives us a historically awesome QB, I'm all for it.

Our first rounders in recent years havent been exactly busts but they never made the difference they should have. I'm ok with losing a 2 first rounders to take a chance on an elite talent.

I'd take that, in his prime mcnabb was a top 10 qb

Random question which has an assumptive answer but not a known answer as of now; What if Robert Griffin says he doesn't want to play for us?

In regards to gtripps question:

To be perfectly honest, and don't every one go biting my head for this, I'd take it. A nice run of NFC East Championships and constant playoff appearances is a far cry from what we've seen here in recent times.

Then we don't take him I guess idk
Or trade him

You forgot Heath Shuler. However, I am for the trade. The skins did the right thing to grab a qb that they think fits the offense, and one who is coachable. If they sat around waiting for a qb to drop in their lap, or signed another teams cast-off it may or may not work. I'd rather had the team succeed or fail with the guy they really wanted and is a home grown product.
