Call him a little bitch, go tell him to paint his nails, then draft Daniels/Maye.
This MF'er could wear a dress for all I care, as long as he can play on the field.

That being said, this could be a bargaining chip for a potential player exchange, IF, Peters and Quinn are interested in Caleb.

Also, we could see a Eli Manning/Phillip Rivers situation happening with another team.

2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
No. Simple reasoning is he was plan B at best for every coaching vacancy available.

I'm warming up to him as HC if he can get an offensive guru.
End of the day, I was hoping for the next McVay/McDaniel brainiac type guy.

That rah rah bullshit only gets you so far. the game is too complex now.
A coach like Marty Schottenheimer couldn't coach in today's game without elite coordinators.
Dan Campbell was smart by surrounding himself with former NFL players and a spacing guru with McDonald. Unfortunately he made a rah rah meathead decision that probably ended their season.

I like Quinn with Chip Kelly.
I don't like Quinn with Kubiacs son.
If you want rah rah we should get Carroll!
Not that you want rah rah just sayin…

Are you saying this isn't a realistic draft? LOL. Funny enough, that wasn't even accepting all of them. I said no to a few.

harbaugh and McDonald were the two I really wanted.

Quinn is fine, just not exciting and the last game on his resume is awful. He should be able to pull in a better overall coaching staff, since he's been around forever and is well-liked.

If he gets the team to the playoffs, no one's going to be crying about what could have been or remember much about the coaching search at all.

If it doesn't work out, everyone willing be yelling about how they knew better from the start and how terrible of a decision this was. humans.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

So, with KK in the house, which of these scenarios seems most likely, if not another?

1) We stay at #2 and draft Maye (or Daniels?).*
2) We trade up and take Williams.
3) Williams does an Eli Manning and we trade QB's and picks after we take Maye @#2.

*My favoured choice at this point. KK should be able to work with any QB we go with, regardless of his relationship with Williams, and I'm a bit loathe to give up too many picks for moving up one spot.

3 might work out cheaper than 2 once the bears pick again, but I doubt the Bears would wait until then if they were even considering trading the #1. I think more likely they take Williams and that's that (aside from trading Fields).

I'm kind of getting tired of the trade up for Caleb talk. Chicago is not going to pass on this type of talent, the conversation should stop right there. I see no value in spending next season's first and other high picks to move up one spot when there are 2 very highly rated QBs still available.

Caleb has said he doesn't want to play in Chicago.. I can't blame him. Its not a QB friendly weather city which is why Buffalo Took a dude with a Cannon for QB. There is a reason Kliff came to WSH, When there is this much smoke there is usually fire. Chicago has also not said one thing about trading Fields nor has any media outlet

the bears are on the hot seat, they too need to decide what is best

is a kings ransom worth it for Williams; keep fields and add the pieces around him, its basically roulette do they put all their chips Williams or spread their chips (they will have a lot of chips after the trade) out on other talent

imagine fields in SF offense; i bet he out performs purdy ; build a niners offense around fields

I think w/ the hiring of KK, Caleb is in play.

Unless he drops in our lap at 2, I don’t want him. I think he is the biggest risk/reward between himself, Maye , and Daniels.
Maye seems the least risk, as a prototypical QB size, decent athleticism, and big arm. Daniels is by far the best athlete of the three, and most high character in my eyes. I know little of Maye, but never heard a bad word about Daniels.

Hopefully it becomes a moot point when some other team drafts nail polish boy. 💅🏾

Dan Quinn doesn't seem like the kinda guy that wants to start this job saddled to a QB with a lot of quirks.. I would be shocked if we do draft him he would be a problem .. KK has been around him .. look I got pissed when the Quinn hire went down BUT I didn't know the REAL story .. After learning the FACTS I'm on board with whatever they wanna do .. just WIN !!
