Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Yeah that's definitely a thing. It can be a brutal cycle since a lot of people drink due to anxiety, only to be left more anxiety ridden after drinking.
How to deal with "Hangxiety"
Interesting I hate hangovers like i have a phobia of them. So lots of times just the thought of getting one curves my alcohol intake during my drinking outing. My favorite drinking saying: Drinking is just borrowing happiness from tomorrow. |

Total natural supplement and I think realllllly helps. |

Paid off my car last year, riding easy with no car payments for a while, of course now here come the repairs. $2k and counting this year so far. Still ahead of the game overall but it still sucks. New shocks are the latest kick to the groin.

Cars are designed like cell phone batteries. They purposely stop working right after a certain amount of time so you have to buy a new car/phone. |

What REALLY grinds your gears?
Seriously.
Sometimes after a heavy night of drinking i wake up early with weird feeling of anxiety YET I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANYTHING. Its so weird.
Anxiety is weird. About 15 years ago i had a severe panic attack - actually funny enough- I was watching the Skins play the Cardinals or Rams - I forget. It was 08 I think - when they had to win 5 down the stretch to get in. I was at my normal bar - had one beer - afternoon game - and all of the sudden - BOOM- thought i was going down. Gathered myself and drove back and forth towards the hospital- because every time I got close I was like what am i doing here? But it got bad - so bad I couldn’t drive. After tests, doctors visits, etc I was told it was anxiety- panic attacks- but I was not anxious or panicked about anything. Doctor told me it dont matter. Its just your body and your mind reacting to life in general and it isn’t up to you whether it happens or not. Lasted about 3 years - was awful. Debilitating actually. Couldn’t sit at my desk at work, couldn’t do alot of things. Was afraid to travel for fear of having one somewhere not near my comfort zone - my home. But than like the wind it just went away. Been about 12 years. Oh in the ER, my only concern was who won the game, not what the hell is wrong with me. Ha. But i found out they won. Woot woot. Felt a little better. Ill never forget the brief reprieve I felt from the news we were going to the playoffs. |

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
When you're prepping a document and Microsoft Word closes by itself and deletes your work. Good times at work today. Although I think this might have been our program we use for our files that made it close. Nonetheless, something involving a computer program screwed me. My gears were definitely grinded.

The inflation to get a haircut. Gotta take out a loan to get a cut nowadays.

Yours doesn't auto-save and recover? MS Office has done that for years. |

It auto-saved up to the last checkpoint it saved at. It didn't save up unto where I actually left off. So I had to re-do some of it. It wasn't even Word though, it was our stupid system that was having problems and kept forcing it closed. |

I get these effing once a week. Sidebar…I think that car shield extended car warranty is a scam My local dealership service area has a big sign when you walk in…”we don’t deal or accept car shield” Like don’t come up here with a vehicle with 150k miles and try to tell us this shit is covered under warranty |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Think I have a pinched sciatic nerve - gears literally grinded to a halt. The pain in my leg is so intense. I've tried every "home remedy" in the last two months and nothing has worked. Was kinda hoping it would just pass on its own but nope. Even sitting down and my leg and my hip throbs.

Ouch…sorry to hear. Physical therapy could really help along with some nerve specific pain meds. Weed alone probably not strong enough, but maybe laced with some coke and pcp could alleviate some pressure. -Warpath Resident Dr Chico- |

Been there! It’s the worst. Takes 6 to 8 weeks to heal. https://youtu.be/clfpWjqVP6U Watch that and get a McKenzie roll to sit with. I hope you feel better soon. |

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Just put on some real pants or shorts when you leave the house. Nothing says I've given up on life like wearing pajamas or sweats. If you're going to the gym with sweats on, ok. But otherwise put on some clothes that show you're an adult with a job and a life and a little self respect.

What REALLY grinds your gears?
Thieves grind my damn gears. So last night, the start of my three day fathers day weekend extravaganza I am doing my due diligence at the vodka distillery downtown. Beautiful night. Maybe the most ideal weather I have ever experienced. It was like summer spring and fall had a mé·nage à trois and created a new season.
Than my wife gets a call from our friend, who had her daughter and my daughter at Target. My daughter is 14, went through the self checkout and put her phone down on the metal tray. She walked away, got about ten steps turned around and it was gone. The people at the register claimed they did not have it and leave. Target calls the police who watch the video and see those people swipe the phone. Wtf are you going to do with a phone? We immediately turned it off. It can not be turned on again or anything completely useless. Deductible is 200, and my daughter will have a phone Monday, if she makes it that long without one. It isn’t the end of the world, It is good that for two days she doesn’t have a phone in her face. But these fuckin scumbags who knew it was a little girl and swiped it. What Assholes. Waiting to see if the cops can trace it or better yet see who was paying after my daughter and hopefully they used a credit card. |

My card had been used on line for a computer that they were picking up at the store. They stopped the sale but the idiots didn't know it...Wal-Mart did. I got the location of the store and called the local Police to let them know. No one would tell me what ever happen ,took my bank 10 working days to get me a new card. |
