I got to see Chris play at Wannee fest in spring and he opened the last day on the main stage. I was psyched, but came away disappointed. Totally unprepared, was reading lyrics sometimes from a chart thingy.

He just doesn't bring it solo like he does with the black crows

Ive seen him with Phil n friends and Black Crowes. Never solo. Wannee announce the lineup this year? Obviously no Almonds. Lol

No announcement yet, just the days have been set. I think there is a chance the allmans could play in some capacity. Don't know if I'm going, think about a bigger trip around that time

Hey hog, actually 3, Greg and both drummers. But what people don't know is the last ten years warren Haynes and dereck trucks have been the guitar plays, and man it's been amazing! Dereck and warren are 2 of the top 50 guitar players are time. After they kicked out dicky betts they were on a roll unseen since Duane was alive. I'm not joking. I saw the allmans back in 1991 for the first time and caught them several times in the 90s, but these guys are killing it much better in the last 5 years. Dereck trucks is the best guitar player right now in the world. I would put him up against anybody. He is surely the best slide player right now. Greg has a lot of hep c issues, hopefully he can keep it going. Go to YouTube and search allman brother beacon theatre in the last ten years and just watch. Blues never sounded so gud

Hog your Naples, if I go this year and the allmans r playing u should come up for at least a day show, it's pretty cheap. I'll probably by on mushrooms or brownies, but it a killer scene ther.

Allmans officially done no? By the way yes Trucks and Warren r great. Though i hated Warren with the dead. Didnt work. The Mule is another story though.
