Re: Brunell Reluctant to Renegotiate Deal
Since we're just chatting here...an off-topic tidbit:
The Miami Herald reported today that Oakland was the third team interested in Ramsey but their interest doesn't appear to be as strong as Miami or the Jets. |
The ADE has been in the league too long and as such, his vet min salary can't compete with the 235k vet min salaries that the rookies are offering.
Yeah, unfortunately he may be a cap casualty. He is a great special teamer. I'd like to see him stay. |
Re: Brunell Reluctant to Renegotiate Deal
if no one restructures, we're looking at fielding a 47 man roster next year. yikes.

34/47 = 72.34% 1st year rookies ;) as opposed to the more elusive 2nd year rookie types. |

yay, that means we can keep samuels and maybe washington and only have 32 rookies on our 47 man team! |

Re: Brunell Reluctant to Renegotiate Deal
A lot of us owe Brunell (most notably myself, for starting this thread based on the WP article) a gigantic "thank you....I'm sorry."

Re: Brunell Reluctant to Renegotiate Deal
SORRY MARK. Please reread my apology note I wrote last year. :(

articles have been stating that, but if we cut all 56 players that would save us money and replaced them with 1st year guys, we'd still be 1.4million over the cap (its that bad). That's why the who would you cut thread was a fool's errand. if there are more restructures or a new cba it won't be so horrible though. |
