Paul Schwarz, of the New York Post, reports recently signed New York Giants OL/TE Jai Lewis (George Mason) will likely spend his first season on the team's practice squad. Right now the Giants view him as a possible offensive tackle, a position he's never played. "He's pretty much grown beyond a tight end," Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi said. "If he wants to lose some weight, he can decide once he gets here. He has the skills, the feet and the hands to be a tight end, but most likely his future is at offensive line."


I remember being told i was an idiot when i said he had lineman measureables... then kiper said it the next day, and now Accorsi (who actually signed him and will use him) is saying it too.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports San Jose State S Bobby Godinez measured a height of 5-10 3/8 and a weight of 179 pounds at his Pro Day. Godinez ran the 40-yard dash with times of 4.47 seconds and 4.53 seconds while finishing the short shuttle in 4.28 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.34 seconds. He measured a 31 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-7 broad jump while completing 14 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
