Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
I guess some choose to take the poll question very literally and want to analyze the performances soley on that day, which is fine but seems a little narrow minded to me. I chose to keep the big picture in mind as I made my choice.
I understand "goat of the day" to refer to this one particular game. If you wanna factor expectations into the equation, then "who was the biggest disappointment" would be a more appropriate title. If we use your logic Matty then JC would be exempt from ever being the goat, as would every other rookie or young player on the team. |

I didn't realize goat of the day meant take everything else out of the equation. Next time I'll be more clear. |

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
My goat of the day, vernon fox for falling down for absolutely no reason, giving Norwood an easy touchtown haha, just kidding, but that really was pathetic

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
I said Other, and by that I mean anyone that touched the field after that blocked punt in the 4th. It was like watching a bunch of kids running around the field like idiots. Honestly, it was embarassing.

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
how the crap did that guy not get that blocked punt into the endzone, pathetic. I never knew punters were such good tacklers

He didn't exactly have a wide open field to the endzone |

Yes he did, He had only the punter and like 5 blockers ahead of him |

He had a few guys right there that had good angles on him, he wasn't going anywhere. Plus I think he just wanted to hang on to the ball. |
Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
sorry, I just expect to have guys make plays, instead of settling for mediocrity. Cartwright is a playmaker, ST is a playmaker. We need more playmakers.

Hahaha. That should be a sig. |
Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day
I'm not sure i could pick a goat for the game. I think it was equal parts defense, JC, and coaching. Did i leave anything out. The defense was bad. Don't get me wrong 250 yards rushing is horrible, but sometimes a Vick team is going to skew that figure a little. JC had a bad game (this is expected w/ his 3rd start). I don't think anyone wants to bench him or say he's a bust, but he had a typical rookie qb game where he made some major mistakes. The coaching was bad. Our team looked like they had never ran a 2 minute offense before. The last 6 minutes of the game was pretty embarrassing imo. So IMO i don't know if one "goat" stands out.
On a positive note, Golston has had a couple real good games. I think we've got a pretty good young d-lineman. |
