Re: Jansen's discolated ankle
"As for recovery time, Jansen said: "In 3-4 months, I should be ready to play football. It will be about six weeks in a cast with crutches. I'll be able to start in a walking boot and put some pressure on it. By 10-12 weeks, I should be running. ... I know I'll be able to bounce back from this."
From The Washington Times, America's Newspaper At least he's got a good attitude about it.
In 3-4 months, I should be ready to play football. Hell yeah Jansen! We all would love to see that! It's possible for him to only miss 11 or 12 games then. We could have him back for the important last 4 games and a playoff run! |
Re: Jansen's dislocated ankle
Even being at the game close to where JJ was laying, you knew the foot was not suposed to look anything like that. And his reactions while laying there were horrible, you knew it was very bad.
I hope he recovers and can see the football field again someday.....? Thoughts & Prayers with JJ and family for a speedy recovery.
How did the crowd react? I ask because I don't know how many of you saw Chad Pennington's injury (it certainly looked worse than it was) but the Jets fans started cheering when Kellen Clemens came in. And it didn't seem like a "let's rally behind the new QB and wish Chad well" kind of cheer, but more like a "Yes, Pennington's out!!!!" |

Scarey Silence As Big JJ was being carted off he gave the thumbs up, and the crowd went full throttle. |
Re: Jansen's dislocated ankle
hmm 3-4 months wouldnt that be 12-16 weeks meaning basically the whole regular season. he wouldnt be able to come back for the last 4 games of regular season, i hope he does dont get me wrong. just doesnt seem likely. so any words if they are putting him on IR and going to try and fill the spot? if so who will we go after?

Re: Jansen's dislocated ankle
Does anyone know what the salry cap implications of Jansens injury are. I think this ankle is the same one that he tore his achilles on. I think he is finished.

Re: Jansen's dislocated ankle

When you have a classy player like JJ (a new generation Mr. Redskin) you give him a chance or two, especially when he signed a big contract extension. He'll be back and I hope he has a speedy recovery. |
Re: Jansen's dislocated ankle
Ok, what are the ingured reserve rules. when can they put him on so they can get him back. Can that even happen anymore. Where is ThatGuy, when you need him.

If I'm not mistaken, he can go on the PUP list for 6 weeks at a time. So might as well put him on that 2 times. If Jansen says he can come back, I trust him. |

This is a pretty nasty looking injury
