Re: Chad Johnson up to his old antics...
damn, where have I been? Chad punched Lewis?
Didn't happen. CJ has responded to this question on previous occassions with ESPN and other outlets (as have other Bengals officials). He admitted to getting heated during a halftime and Hue Jackson grabbed him to calm him down, but he didn't throw any punches |

OK, that makes more sense. |
Re: Chad Johnson up to his old antics...
Ironically NFL Netwrok just had him on the phone while TJ Houshmanzdahgerphimerjohnson was there as an in studio guest. Really weird converstation where TJ just seemed to say that Chad is going to do what he wants to do, and Chad tried to bring up things they talked about in private but TJ seemed to stop him. I wonder how Bengal fans are handling all this.

Well, I know Shaun Smith came out and said it did happen. So, I guess it comes down to who ya wanna beleive. I feel like everyone denying it has something to protect. However, Smith has no reason to lie and doesn't need to protect Cincy. Considering Chad's antics I wouldn't be surprised. I guess in all actuality it's a toss up whether it did or didn't happen. Sports
Good point about Smith, but actually if Smith were thinking about his future in the nfl & being a good team guy (not that lying would be good), he might've been better off to say nothing. By speaking he's actually putting his reputation at stake & potentially angering some people in Cincy who want to put it behind them. He might need a good reference from them or he might want a job there again one day. No job in the nfl is guaranteed. I respect him if he simply wants to tell the truth. I agree w/you that it's not something he would just out & out lie about. What's to gain by doing that? It sounds like to me that this incident happened, CJ has used it to his advantage to complain, and now Lewis is digging his heels in & trying to regain control & respect of his team. My opinion is biased at this point though, cause I've come to dislike CJ a bit & don't want him here. There is always the possibility that like a lot of crime scenes you ask 10 people that saw it what happened & you get 10 different answers. |

Quick, quick, there's "we need Chris Henry/Pac Man" spin needed on the Kenny Wright thread!!!
