Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I'm thinking in this game, Fletcher's absence wouldn't hurt us all that much since the Giants are a power running team that would abuse an injured, undersized Fletch.
Blades' play recognition and aggressiveness are going to be key in this one. |
Firstdown, the game hasn't even happened yet, and you are already 1/3 right in your prediction. Good work!
I didn't even think of that. So lets hope I am 100% right. |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I wish I could be more optimistic:
Giants 28 Skins 10
Have to agree with Matty on this one. WE still can't score, and the defense let the Sea sparrows make it a game. The Gmen are a complete team, strong in all facets of the game, while we are only firing on half our cylinders. The Burress shooting will only keep the score from getting out of hand. Giants 31 Skins 13 |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
As I posted before, with the news of Plax,I now must change my prediction.Add in the Sean Taylor tribute it will be just too much for the Giants to consintrate on ....
Skins 27 Giants 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
The Giants are have essentially the same personnel as last year, however they are not nearly the same team. Their offensive line seems to get better every game, they are still rushing the passer with ferocity despite no Strahan OR Umenyiora, their running game is better, Eli is more efficient, and they are two games ahead of where they were at this point in 2007. They didn't really gel as a team until the final 4 regular season games/playoffs last year.
This year, aside from the Cleveland speed bump, they are a machine. And they've scored 30+ in 4 straight games, and only less than 21 twice all year. Yeah, we're better than we were last year, but we're still just as injury plagued. This is such an important game. I hope we can overcome the odds. Hey, at least it's not a night game!
We are a better team than last year, but the injuries and to some extent the new system is hampering us greatly. The Gmen seem to be possessed and on a mission to prove that last season was no fluke and that they are indeed the best around. I agree, and that is why the odds are indeed long on the Skins eeking out a win. Also forget the emotions running high thing. Emotion can play a good part in a football game, but can't overcome a team that is solidly superior, and that is what we have here. Also we are road warriors this season. Playing at Fedex isn't like playing at RFK. The crowd might be big, but not really that intimidating. |

Skins 27 Giants 17
I hope you are right, but if a team is going to get messed up over the Taylor tribute it will be the Skins. They were his teammates and friends. I am sure Sean had friends on the Giants, but not the whole team. I guess I am saying the emotional aspect might actually have the reverse effect. It would be great if the Skins came out like the Gmen did when "Duke" passed away a couple years ago, but that might be asking too much from a banged up team still trying to find itself offensively somewhat. |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
The Giants are due for a loss. I say Redskins 20 Giants 17 (OT). Maybe Plaxico will be in jail during the playoffs for possession and discharging an unlicensed weapon. I thought Dallas had all the lowlifes on thier team. NJ Skins Fan

Let me ask you guys what the hell does this mean....from the Redskins blog...
Well, it may be the day after Thanksgiving, but it’s still just a Friday here. Any confusion about that was eliminated when I got down to the practice fields to find — you guessed it — Jim Zorn throwing balls to route-running quarterbacks. And it still hasn’t gotten old to me. Colt Brennan’s father was at practice today, and he seemed to get a kick out of watching his son play receiver for a few minutes. Wildcat? |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
Let's do it. If it works with Miami, it could work anywhere right?

Nope he had a permit in New York and New Jersey,as I said before the state maybe a fine but it's nothing compared to the NFL,the Giants and Coughlin will do! |
Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
Stopping the run during this game is going to be a task with that undersized elephant with down syndrome strength. I was watching the game preview on nfl.com, and in the last 4 years the G-spots have averaged 167 rushing yards a game.
With Mr. Target practice out of the game, we will contain Eli and the WR's. Skins: 14 ( that's not 2 touchdowns, it's 7 safeties) Giants: 3 |

It mat just be a way to put the quarterbacks in the receiver's shoes but Campbell says he just likes to show off. However, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a little Wildcat here and there. |
