We just signed Mike Williams... no idea what I think of that.
He was born on my birthdate so he must be good :) Mike Williams (offensive lineman) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search For the wide receiver, see Mike Williams. Mike Williams Date of birth: January 11, 1980 (1980-01-11) (age 29) Place of birth: Flag of the United States Dallas, Texas Career information Position(s): Offensive tackle College: Texas NFL Draft: 2002 / Round: 1 / Pick: 4 Organizations As player: 2002-2005 2006 2009-present Buffalo Bills Jacksonville Jaguars Washington Redskins Playing stats at DatabaseFootball.com Michael D. Williams (born January 11, 1980 in Dallas, Texas) is an American football offensive tackle currently playing for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills out of the University of Texas with the fourth overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft. Weighing 360 lbs, Williams seemed destined to be the anchor of the AFC's heaviest offense. But, in hindsight, many observers now consider the Tom Donahoe's decision to draft Williams to be one of his biggest mistakes as Bills GM. While he provided fair run blocking on the right side, Williams failed to show a flair for pass blocking and remained an unpolished player. Due to continued woes on the Bills' offensive line, Williams was moved by the coaching staff to left guard in order to assess his talents on the inside of the line. This tryout, though, was cut short by Williams' semi-frequent injuries. After the 2005 season, Williams was cut. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 14, 2006 but was placed on injured reserve on August 29, ending his season. On April 24, 2009, he was signed by the Redskins. |
Re: Half Assed Rebuilding Mode
Drafting Oher or A. Smith and Mack sounds so great, especially with the players in O-line..
Samuels, Dockery, Mack, Thomas, Oher or A. Smith I definitely would do this, even if it means trading our 2010 1st rd.. Like Sfredskins said, it would solidify the line for years, except maybe we would need a G in two years? Not only this benefits the offense, but we would be able to give JC all time he needs in the pocket.. I'm pretty sure this would help our offense a lot.. Edit: I normally don't like the idea of trading future picks, but this one just sounds so good; I cannot resist it.. |

Re: Half Assed Rebuilding Mode
I would much rather give up picks for SFREDSKIN's proposed line than for Sanchez.
Well, I think as fans we're as a whole remarkably impatient. Why isn't Rinehart starting? Why isn't Devin Thomas leading the league in receiving yards? But that's fine I guess. We can be impatient, but Snyder and co. don't need to be. They don't need to be fans or listen to the fans. They're supposed to be the voices of reason against the fans' insanity. That's why I find it amusing how people complain how the Redskins don't care or listen to the fans. That's not what I want them doing.
Nobody requires as much patience as Redskins fans. |
Re: Half Assed Rebuilding Mode
I wish Dan Snyder owned the Nationals. And I agree with SFREDSKIN's proposal and you might as well try to squeeze in a OLB in the 2d Round.

I completely agree. The difference would be 09 competitive vs. 09 disaster. |

If Snyder owned the Nats maybe they would have uniforms with correct spellings. |

im hoping with the additions we've made(jabari greer, darren sharper, rod coleman) we'll be able to make a run at the playoffs believe me guys, if there was ever a team that can simpathize with what you guys are going through right now, its saints fans only recently with jim haslett and sean payton have we been able to hold our heads up i think the redskins are well on their way so far. they have a very good core group of players to build around; portis, sellers, hall, cooley, fletcher, haynesworth, landry, moss, my boy shaun suisham from BGSU and a couple of old saints in alfred fincher and renaldo wynn im impressed i could name that many redskins without looking it up lol then of course campbell, rocky, and colt(im a big fan of his) there are lots of things to look forward to this year for you guys. if portis can continue to stay healthy, i can see a push at the playoffs. especially if they can pick up a few starting O-linemen in this draft |
