Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins
Not at all a foregone conclusion. I'm still hearing that if not Bradford then Charles Brown is their top choice. But to me that means they must be thinking trade down. Because I really can't see them taking Brown at #4.
Now if they stay at 4 and Bradford is gone then I think they're going with Okung or Davis before Clausen. That could always change though. It's not even March
Reading between your lines, this means that the Skins are not so high on Clausen. Have you heard why? |
Uhhhh, are you really excited about Manassas for good looking women? Poor bastard...
I can't blame him. I tend to overlook the flaws of women on their back! |
Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins
I wouldn't say they're not high on him. It's just with the way the draft board seem to be shaking up right now it appears they would be happier with say an Okung-Colt McCoy 1-2 punch than a Clausen-Jason Fox one.

It sounds like you think a QB is getting taken in the first 2 rounds. Is that accurate? |

Ok. Fair enough. I suppose the gist of my clumsy question is what separates Bradford (draftable at #4) from Clausen (not as draftable at #4) in the minds of Shanahallen. |
Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins
This kid is nothing special.. I have never liked this guy and I think it would be a terrible pick up if we drafted him. You have got to work on getting this offensive line straight before drafting a QB. Trade the picks and grab some more draft picks. Maybe McCoy falls or something and we can take him. I'd rather Bradford, McCoy etc.. than Clausen in this draft if we had to go QB. What is there to like about this guy and what did he prove so well in college that he deserves a 4th pick??

Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins
I just have this gut feeling that if we don't draft Brafford we are going to be kicking ourselves in two to three years time. I dunno, I just think we can't pass on him. just my opinion.

Honestly I don't know. So much depends on how things shake out on draft day. Also with a full day between round 1 and 2 you can expect to see a lot of trade activity. But I mean let's say they take Okung in the first round and then (as a lot of people are speculating) Spikes and/or McClain is there when they pick in round 2. I could see them taking one of those guys before they take a QB. And then they would maybe try to trade into the late 2nd/early 3rd round to get a QB |

its seems as though if bradford is there at 4, we will take him. are you saying you want us to move up to assure that we get him? |

Sam Bradford, Jaimmy Clausen, Jason Campbell, Colt Brennan and Todd Collins all want Russell Okung or someome comparable at the LT position to keep them from getting their brains knocked out. |
Re: Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins
I think a lot of this QB talk is going to be moot anyway. I don't see Bradford on the board at #4 and Clausen would be a reach there. Okung is a no brainer if he's there at #4.

It's going to suck though either way. We'll find out on Thursday night who our first round pick is then we'll have to wait 24 hours to find who the next piece will be. I don't think I have enough self control to handle that. |

Yes, Friday during the draft will be a killer. No work will get done. We might as well declare it a national holiday. |
