Re: Your final prediction for #10
This feels like the 2006 draft. A highly athletic QB coming off winning a National Championship. A highly touted pocket passer. Then a gunslinger QB prospect with accuracy questions from a mediocre team. Vince Young, Matt Leinert or Jay Cutler. Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert or Jake Locker.
Let's see if history repeats?
Closest comparison you'll find, but still not quite accurate. |

good article...look who he is raving about?
Articles like that are gonna leave me pissed when we pass on Locker at #10. |

good article...look who he is raving about?
Great article! I also heard mayock on Path to the Draft yesterday say that Locker could be a Franchise QB in the Shanahan system and that they better not get cute by trying to trade down and still get him. |

Yeah I heard Mayock on that too. I think when all is said and done we won't trade down. I've read the Rams are fine with staying at #14. And more often than not it's not easy to trade in and out of a top 10 pick. I think we stay put and get the guy Shanahan would have had on his short list last year at #4. |

Re: Your final prediction for #10
I'm down to Locker, Mallett or Jones at 10.
I bet its Number 10 at 10 |

good article...look who he is raving about?
Thanks for sharing this article. Good information to say the least.
Changing my prediction back to Locker!! lol
Maybe a good choice. It's probably why I hear the Redskins have Locker rated a slight edge over Dalton. I still think the #10 spot is too high to draft Locker. It'll be a decision that either seals their fate or success here with the SKins. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Locker at #10, obviously prefer trading down and still getting him, but he seems smart, tough and a natural leader which we need desperately on offense. he's gonna have a chip on his shoulder and bring passion to this team. he had an off year last season but i think he's going to be a true player in the league.

Re: Your final prediction for #10
Ok. I'm peer pressured into changing to Locker. This should be fun. It's wide open.

Watch this and tell me he doesn't have the perfect attitude for a franchise QB. He's dedicated, but not overly dedicated a la Tim Tebow. Responded well all year to the media in Washington and the most telling of all is that he's intelligent. Ryan Mallet is a ****ing headcase get off the bandwagon. |

Re: Your final prediction for #10
I say go QB. Trade down if we can, but Locker is a decent choice at #10. The draft always overvalues QB's because they can change the entire franchise. Locker was a #1 pick last year, and I don't buy that he dropped down for staying one more year. I'd be fine getting another QB like Ponder later in the draft, but I think Locker is a better pick.
For Julio Jones - remember Detroit picked up four WR in top 10 from 2003-2007. And look where it got them. Even when they had Calvin Johnson, one of the best WR in the game -- they were the first team to finish 0-16 and were still picking at #1 the next year.
And they are also in a much better position to improve than we are. Detroit still needs to fill some holes, but they are a better team top to bottom than we are. |

Newton seemed ok.... |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Kind of surprised no one has chosen Cam Jordan...or have they?
And who knew there was such a thing as being "overly dedicated" |
