Like Donovan McNabb's amazing and unique dirt balls, Rex Grossman has the uncanny and unique ability to toss some of the so-called best "WTF WAS THAT?!!" turnovers.
very funny, but sadly so true

Unless you are a Bears fan, I doubt you watched much of Grossman that year, and just are talking about ESPN highlights. You just want to jump on the HATE REXY bandwagon. I guess you are one of these guys that believe we are tanking as well eh?

Ummm, actually I did. One of my best friends is a Bears fan and we use to go to his place every Sunday and watch the NFL package. And I use to have to watch some of those games (during, before, or after the Skins game). He looked like he was shaving points in some of those games as bad as his INTs looked. He looks way better in our system but I'll never forget how bad he looked in 2006.

I view Rex as this teams floor. Beck has more potential with his work ethic, mobility, and leadership however he's still unproven and if I had to be safe I'd take Grossman over Beck. Does that make sense?

Haha I could've sworn it didn't say worst in there when I read it, hence my response. It feels good to be vindicated.

Because of Cafeteria Fans that have to bash a player every possible time.

I'm surprised you didn't break out any You Tube videos about it.

It didn't bother me that much, although I will admit I was curious as to how I missed it. I stepped away from the comp for a while, and I came back and saw everyone was like "think you misread that man" and I honestly thought I actually did miss it. It's all good either way though.

Please tell me this won't be Shane Matthews/Danny Wuerffel part 2.

It actually will be, why do you think we signed Spurrier to coach the qb's?

Hopefully Shanahan has more than two QB protection schemes.

The 2011 Redskins are probably going to be more similar to the 2001 Redskins under Marty with tough defense and a running game. Hopefully the passing game is much more competent.

Watching redskins nation and Rex looks pudgey and out of shape.

Rex has always been a little pudgy and out of shape. Doesn't matter, if anything it's a benefit at QB. Just like fat pitchers in baseball that usually heal faster. Look at Big Ben, Peyton, even Brady. Yeah sure they're not all fat but they're not ripped either. On the other hand look at Brady Quinn. Six pack abs don't help you thread a needle between two defenders, and they certainly don't help you unleash the dragon.

the bigger question is this - mike shananan joined the redskins, did any of us fathom a time when we would be 'excited' (see the exclamation point in the thread title) that rex grossman reported to camp.

Think about that. How did things come to this?
