Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I just heard Ross on NFL radio saying he likes the Skins to go 2-0. Cards secondary will have their hands full, maybe even worse than last week.

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Im not buying the blowout talk or already counting this team with a 2-0 record. No freakin way. Not close.
Arizona's offense is nothing to laugh at. Like I stated before, their offense will bring a much tougher challenge than the Giants. |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I think our pass rush will decide whether we win this game or not. I don't think we can shut down Fitz, and Kolb has some nice options in Doucet and Heap. Cofield and Neild need to come up big (well mainly Cofield, Neild just needs to continue to do what he did in Gm 1) in collapsing the pocket and giving the LBs opportunities to go after Kolb.
On the offensive side of the ball, our line needs to protect Rex, so he can take advantage of their secondary. If we take the lead early in the game, it will allow our defense to be more aggressive and go after Kolb. |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I think we'll sack Lomax five or six times.

Cards running game is worse. Cards receiving corps is better than the Giants, but not by much. Nicks is pretty DAMN GOOD in his own right. And don't forget Manningham punishing Hall for Hall's lack of tackling skill. Korn on the Kolb might be good, might not be good. We hit him, and he'll screw things up. Guaranteed. |

Ive stated before Nicks is the best player on the field for the Giants period. He's incredible. But the Cards' TEs, WRs, and QB are better than the Giants, right now. Kolb has been playing at a high level all preseason and once again in their first game, Eli has struggled all camp and obviously his first game. The thing that has surprised me the most, is Benie Wells...all reports outta camp was that this guy was a monster. He had finally gotten his fundementals down. Showed first game. The Oline is their weakness and we can attack it fo sho, BUT we are gonna have to play much stronger in the secondary. |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Cards offense might be better than the Giants, but I still like our D more.
And I definitely like our O vs. their D. |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Skins 34 - arizona 17

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Redskins 38
Cards 35 Have to stick to my initial prediction that we win by a field goal. |

Their secondary lacks talent aside from Peterson (Wilson has slowed down) and Peterson is still making rookie errors. Our receivers, especially our TE's, should have a fine day. Of course, all of this is dependent on Good Rex making an appearance. |

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I don't see Zona scoring anything but FG's. We win.

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I stopped after the first post:
And the Cards barely slipped by a Panthers team that won 2 games last year, and got lit up by a rookie QB.
Ditto! I feel like the ending of Billy Madison and feel dumber for having read some of their statements. Probably the dumbest thing they said was that they had an advantage at TE and one dude even went as far as saying they have the best TE set in the league?!?! I know our combo is on the rise and isn't there yet but Jeff King and Todd Heap, seriously? Best combo to me is Antonio Gates and whoever his backup is or Gradkowski and Hernandez in NE IMO. Now as far as a prediction goes, I think their passing offense is obviously the main thing we should fear, but I still see us winning by about 10 points as we have both a decent passing attack against their suspect secondary and a solid rushing game especially if we see more packages with Helu and/or Torrain to mix it up. and we r finally getting pressure on defense without blitzing, but when we do blitz mcintosh, fletcher, hall, etc were getting atleast a hit on Manning almost every time. |
