Looking at the reader comments is telling. Why all the sudden vitriol against RGIII ?

One guys says "RGIII = Akili Smith. BUST!" Couldn't the same be said of Andrew Luck and Tim Couch?

It could also be more proof of my hunch that the Redskins are just one of those teams that people love to hate, and as soon as a potential draft pick becomes associated with Washington, public sentiment tends to turn against them.
Best to avoid the comments on PFT regarding ANY topic, for the most part it's full of haters and morons. Some comments are worthwhile, but you have to wade through some serious BS to find them.

Most of that hatte is coming from Eagles, Cowbitchs and Browns fans who would all trade their QB and picks to get RGIII. Its really quite funny. Most are just pissed at their situation, but they are fair weathered and im sure if there team had moved up to get RG3 they would be singing his praises. Eagles, Cowgurls and Browns fans about as 2 faced as they come.

I hope they know that all this does is fuel RGIII to prove the haters wrong. I have said that Griffin is "the real deal" since October and all we have to do as a fan base is support him thru the learning process and everything will be fine!
What the article said about his father clearing his head about winning the Heisman is all I need to know about his focus. We are going to have a good one and Snyder haters hate it!
Houston is a Super Bowl contender. Indy might win 3 to 6 games. I almost feel sorry for Luck. He's going to have a real tough rookie year.
I think a lot of people continue to underestimate Houston's defense under the direction of Wade Philips i.e. it's the Texans' defense that makes them a legit contender. I wish we would have replaced Haslett w/ Philips as soon as he hit the market...sometimes it seems this franchise doesn't do everything it could to win.

Houston should be a good team, but they've had a lot of key losses too. I'd hold off on putting them in Super Bowl talk until we see what they do in the draft.

EDIT: sorry it's apparently referencing the Wapo story. But the reason I what I was trying to post was I guess a comment in the story about how RG3's parents are already flying a Redskins flag outside their house.

My understanding the Redskins flag is being flown at a neigbors house nearby.

I saw this... about half way down "Hog Heaven" has an article that says "RG3's Parants already have a Redskins Flag Flying at their house."

In any event it's the same story MattyK posted.

I understood to that RG3 has it flying in their front yard and you have to kinda pass the house to get to the driveway.

I re-watched the Baylor-Oklahoma game last night that I had on DVR (watched it live the first time).

RGIII is amazing. He did not run tha much in that game (passed for 479 with 4 TDs and ran for 72 yards) but he was still moving a lot. I noticed a great ability to find someone open way downfield when he's scrambling. So much for him being selfish.

He had an 80ish-yard TD pass on the second play of the game called back by a hold too.

I'd also love for us to draft Kendall Wright, man is fast and gives 100% effort.

The best part is "Deep in Cowboys Country". Texans have to hate this so much!

One thing I really noticed about RG3 is he really seems to throw a great deeep ball. I don't think we've really had a great deep ball thrower since Mark Rypien.

His deep ball touch and accuracy is insane.
