Its easier to find a number 1 than find a Harvin-type player. Do number 1 WR typically lead the league in receptions? Because Percy leads with 49 rec in 6 games. He's scored rushing the ball, kick return of 105 yards, and catching the ball this year. |
Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
i'll check out his stats at the end of the year... but yea he's a dynamic heck of a player

Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
I don't think Coach Haz has done a bad job. The defense has underachieved a lot this season so far because players are simply not playing like their capable of playing. Like when Josh Wilson fell down on a play against the Bengals and the WR ran 42 yards for a TD. It's plays like that that keep the Redskins from winning games.
What I would like to see is Coach Haz call something different similar to what Richie Pettibon used to do. Pettibon used to call the defense using 3 man lines and five man lines back when the Redskins ran a 4-man front. I would like to see the Redskins employ the 46 defense as well as the 4-3 defense for many 10 or 15 of the opposing offensive snaps. That might bewilder the opposing offense and its coordinator.
Just can't agree with the first paragraph. Haslett's scheme to start games and his adjustments mid-game have been lousy. This 3-4 defense should be based on man coverage at least 80% of the time and only works if the offense is confused about where the pressure will come from. I think Haslett has achieved that in maybe six full quarters...over our first six games. Every defense misses a play or two, and actually I have to say our secondary has been more fiery this season than as long as I can remember. We have smaller DBs and they've hit guys in the mouth in every game. What you're mostly seeing is players out of position to compete, and that's a result of scheme and adjustments (or lack thereof). |

No Kenny Phillips for the Giants on Sunday

If you read this forum, every game is a trap game. And IMHO its a stupid catch phrase. |

We want him to be on the field, he is terrible. |

I'm not sure if this makes up for us not having Pierre Garcon or not. Hopefully we can have one wide receiver have a great day. |
If the 49ers front 7 could not get to Eli once, we probably won't and we don't have the secondary do keep up with Cruz, Nicks (has an injury), Bennet or Hixon. We better hope the Giants don't bring there A game because if they do, we have no shot. They are a better team, probably top three team in the NFL if they play their best. Just hope they underestimate us.
The 49ers are pretenders. The Redskin had them beat last year and did beat the Giants last year. Seattle could ahve won last night. The 49ers don't have one Man Gang. He will shake Sheli up. |
Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
I think the Giants used up their surprise victory against the Niners.
The Giants are in for a shock on Sunday. |
On a side note; Why do so many broadcasters get Carriker mixed up with Kerrigan? I hear quite often how Kerrigan is out.

Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
I'll say this, I was watching some highlights of game 2 from last year with New York and saw that Orakpo was being blocked one on one with David Diehel and Kerrigan was being double teamed. The key to this game is that we don't have Carriker pushing the pocket, its now Jarvis Jenkins. Therefore, If Jarvis Jenkins get a strong push up the middle Eli will get sacked or hurry his throws, and we will win. If not, we lose.
