ughhhhh it never ends it feels like.....Can we please pick up an athlete at safety please. I cant stand seeing slow doughty, madieu, gomes late to every pass, pick up an athlete please. We need someone that can fly around back there, not the slugs we currently have.

Sorry to interrupt Joe but how can you be qualified to point out a problem if you don't have the solution? Once again..my apologies. Carry on.

I sense you are making an ironic point here, but it is just ... out ... of ... my ... grasp.

I wasn't sure about the Meriweather signing at first but I'm glad we signed him. Great strong safety. Too bad he won't be able to play anymore this season. At least he was able to play one game and be a difference maker.
I count four starters. BW, davis, carriker and Rak? Helu i never considered a starter and he wouldnt be even if he was completely healthy. Brown may be a starter but nobody expected him to sniff the playing field anyway. .
Brown was expect to be healthy and starting this off-season.

Rak,AC, Meriweather, Davis, Garcon (not really back...he's still hurt/injured), Brown, Helu.......and you might as well call Jackson even though it's not a injury, he's still gone for the year.

Again, how many teams have lost that many STARTERS for the year and still have done well? I know injuries aren't our only issue, but god damn it makes a huge difference.

I think the 2010 Green Bay Packers. They lost nearly a dozen starters that season and still managed to win the Super Bowl.

The 2011 giants had a boatload of injuries to start the season - many of which lingered - and at one point their entire starting secondary. So basically two years in a row teams won superbowls that were decimated with injuries. Im with Matty injuries are rampant throughout the league - dont feel like we are any worse off than lots of teams.

They got back a few of their players. They didn't lose them for the year. Matthews was one of them. Got hurt in the game with us, came back later in the season.

Yes, and you saw how they started the season. A couple of their guys came back in that last part of the season during their run.

You guys keep saying this, but you are presenting NO Evidence. SHOW me. Show me who they lost, for how long, and what position. If they aren't a starter, don't even bother mentioning it.

Exactly Punch. I was just throwing a little sarcasm in there. Not towards Joe. Just for KI Skins benefit. :)

get some lead-free solder, a blow torch, and get to work!

Somehow it seems worse that he had an injured left knee, then came back and blew out his right knee.

Guy must have dug up a sacred burial site or something--somebody up there does not want him to play this year!

A bummer, no doubt, but we've got to soldier on. As Matty said, it's tough to take too much from our D against Philly--they really do suck right now. Just keep the WRs in front of us and pray to get some pressure on Romo.

**** it, I did the research myself.

15 on the IR list and most of these guys were NOT starters. Barnett, Finley, Grant and Burnett were the only real starters. Four guys as compared to our 8 (if you include jackson). Not even.

Here is the list of Giants players who have been injured during the 2011 season that were starters and that were out the whole year.

1. CB Terrell Thomas – Out for season/IR List

2. LB Jonathan Goff

Two god damn starters. TWO!!!. Yes, they had a ton of injuries, but to back ups and second string personnel, not to starters. They also had injuries to several of their starters but for a few games, NOT the whole season. Even when some key guys went out with minor injuries, that team stunk. As soon as they came back, they started winning again.

So both of your are misguided in your claims that these teams lost just as many starters as we did and still succeeded. They didn't.
