Re: Playoff Predictor
Weve been tenacious and kept every game close this year - winning most close games, but we have not soundly beat a good team yet this year. We also haven't demolished any of the bad teams we played. Therefore, we don't have any of what I would call "quality wins"... Games where we dominate a good team for 4 quarters and the game is never really in doubt. I hope that changes Sunday.
We're hot now, and were moving in the right direction, but some people here are getting carried away and thinking we don't need to be worried about teams that have better records than us. Our offense will keep us in every game, but we are not a dominant team yet.
I think you may be a little too picky in defining a quality win. On the road in week one in New Orleans with a rookie QB... I don't remember anyone giving us much of a chance in that one. Thanksgiving in Dallas? Monday night against the Giants? I'd say those are some quality wins. We hammered the Eagles to start this streak, so there's your big win over a bad team. Heck what about yesterday? On the road with a backup rookie QB and we put up 38... Not impressed? |
I love mock drafts.
Edit: they are worthless but i still get excited looking at a seven round mock two years out. Lol
Me too, but its a lot harder to find a good mock draft now that is relevant to the Redskins because most of them are just round 1 because its so far out. That was the only part of the trade I don't like lol, it lessened my mock draft fun. |
I wish I would've bought some Skins vs. Cowboys tickets when we were 3-6.

Actually we can clinch a spot as a wildcard this weekend. We win. Giants, Vikes, and Bears lose. Wildcard, but like I have said numerous times we win out to win the division. I want to go to a home playoff game. |

Don't try to swim in those waters, logic doesn't float. |
and it won't matter who the giants lose to, ravens or eagles, as long as we beat dallas.
1. redskins 9-7 2. cowboys 9-7 3. giants 9-7 4. eagles 6-10 correct me if i'm wrong
We lose a head to head tie with the Cowboys because they have a better record vs. common opponents which supersedes conference record. In a three way, we win I believe though because then conference takes precedence but either way we have to beat Dallas to win the East regardless of what happens in Week 16. |

The ones with trades are great. Lol. Talk about worthless. However maybe they have one where we are trading down? |

Never heard that. I thought even in a three way the criteria is the same? Im not seeing any logic in a three way reversing the criteria. Anybody know for sure? Bueller? Edit: was reading the tiebreaker criteria - i believe it stays the same in a two or threeway tie, but what is really awesome is the number 12 tiebreaker. A coin toss. The odds of 1-11 being the same are probably like 1 in 100, 000,000 but can you imagine missing out on the playoffs because of a ****ing coin toss. If the coin lands on its side whats next? Rock paper scissors? |

Hm, I always thought it was head to head then conference, then division. |
Yupp, looks like we have to beat Dallas.

Re: Playoff Predictor
Anyone suggesting we don't have quality wins is just being difficult. We've gone against and beaten some of the best defensive fronts and QBs in the league.

Re: Playoff Predictor
Speaking off playoffs, it's been particularly satisfying seeing Laron Landry play for the shitty Jets while we've been on a roll. #waterunderthebridge

It's only a little far-fetched to think we could clinch the playoff spot: We beat the Eagles (hopefully likely) Houston beats the Bears (probably) Baltimore beats the Giants (again 50/50 shot depending on who actually decides to play) Arizona beats the Vikings(oh, nevermind. AP may very well run for 200+ again.) |
Re: Playoff Predictor
I think the most dramatic NFC Wildcard weekend would be
NYG @ Skins (if that happened, it would mean during our winning streak we would have beaten Dallas and Philly twice during our win streak, and a win over the Giants would mean we beat them 2xs also. ) and Seattle @ GB (Settle the replacement ref debacle once and for all, unless the reg refs make a bad call at the end too!) |
