Re: Field Condition
In defense of FedEx, they put down a new surface during every off-season.
The problem is that they use a field designed for very low traffic and then put it through heavy traffic year round. It is bermuda grass on a soil base of 90% sand. UVA has the same field, but its rarely used beyond UVA Football, and they have a very nice field. It is utterly moronic to choose a field designed for 15 or so football games per year then subject it to year round heavy activity. Not only is it the Redskins playing there, but also some college and HS football games there. As well as concerts and other events throughout the year. They need to go to a turf designed for heavy traffic, or go to the field turf. To answer the Question about the Packers field. The reason theirs looks green year round is that they actually have a mix of natural grass and synthetic grass. Sounds like the Redskins need to look into that. |
F a name change. I'd rather move the team to West Virginia than lose the Redskins name.
Wheeling Redskins sounds better than Washington Warriors to me. Heck, build it at the Charlestown race track.
If I was Daniel Snyder and insisted on moving the team from their existing stadium, I would move it to VA and make them into the Virginia Redskins. |

"As Courtland Milloy reminded Washington Post readers today, the Redskins moniker has been under fire for decades for being, plainly, a racial slur." No it isn't a racial slur. It wasn't when the term was coined by an Indian. It's not now, especially by fans rooting FOR the Redskins. I see DC hasn't upgraded the mayor position by much, since Marion Barry was running things there. |

Please. I hate Vincent Gray. |

Where's the "Not this shit again" picture?

Re: Field Condition
If they replace the fields at FedEx with turf, would they replace all of the grass in auburn too?

There's a video in that article that Michael Robinson (Seahawks FB) took, that shows the field pre-game. In case you couldn't tell from the tv broadcast, this video confirms how atrocious it looks. It looks like a patchy grass/dirt field from an abandoned lot or something lol. Absolutely no way it doesn't get fixed by next year. |

thanks, cause if hear anymore about politicians trying to force the Skins to change their name....seriously I rather go back to reading the warpath's fleet of doctors diagnose exactly RG3's injury, tell me the proper medical procedure, the rehab schedule and timetable. The mayor of DC should be worry about why almost half the children of DC live in poverty levels equal to those in mexico...give me an effing break. |
