Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Del Rio? lol
I remember when some of the same people in here bashed the coaches for dropping to get Kerrigan and not picking up Blaine Gabbart. The only coaching change to be considered right now is the coach that teaches RG3 how to read the defense, and make the right throws. Bad clock management at the end of the half? Sure was, but iv'e seen a lot worse from "Super Bowl Coaches" For instance, how about calling 4 consecutive run plays on the goal and not getting in. When you have your recently paid franchise QB in there? Coaches make mistakes.. It happens... Even on the dropped pass to Morris. People were screaming for Helu to be in the game. The same people who wanted to know why Morris couldn't be involved in the passing game more. The revolving door coaching approach is tiresome, and till we start having players make the plays. It wont ****ing matter who the head coach is... Everyone busted Danny Smiths balls last year... Well, it's not looking to much greener at the moment. |
Del Rio, no. Lots of turmoil and OC/DC changes in CHI under Lovie. Martz resigned because of him. He would have to come in as strictly a HC....and not take on DC duties.
Not particularly fond of this option.
To be clear, I only said those names because Goat loves to cite them as great HC choices. I don't want either one here |

There have been at least 17 coaching changes after MS was hired. This doesn't include any coaches hired in the same off-season as MS. These are the players MS has brought in, if they're consistently not making plays then the HC's talent-evaluation skills should be called into question. |

Cowher and Gruden are not coaching again and they shouldn't both have been gone for a while now

Although, didn't he bring them in on a restricted budget? It's not like he actually picked whatever he wanted. Our talent level clearly shows we have holes in critical areas. He brought in PG, Reed, RG3, Alfo, Amerson, Kerrigan, Coefield, etc... Those are some pretty damn good players, but I feel like the buck stops just about there. You are never going to be 100% when bringing in players. We left some plays out on the field last night, and allowed Dallas to many. That's the bottom line, and whatever coach change you want to make will not change that fact. Also, every coach in the NFL has a few poor clock management questions. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I dont know what ti think anymore at this point. What i do know is i can't put last night on haslett... but i would put it on the shanahans... I've disliked kyle (even last year when things were going well) and his playcalling is just awful... i would wait til the end of the year, cuz barring a miracle this season is all but over.. why? Because.i cannot see.this team playing well enough to finish strong and win the division .. its not the same offense as last year... its not the same rg3 yet physically OR mentally... i think there is problems in coaching and game mgmt .. i think its time for a change, but not sure of a mid season change is the way to go...

I think the door is still open for Gruden to coach again |

Apparently theres alot of appeal to him via his close work and analyses of teams over the years .. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Maybe we give up Mike and Kyle, for John and Jay?

Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Del Rio had great success as a DC with Baltimore and Carolina. He coached in the atrocious sports city of Jacksonville for a long time, and I would say made the absolute most of a horrible situation. Look at how much worse they are now? Not sure why everyone laughs at the man as a HC?
Edit: he isnt my first choice as our next guy, but it is far from laughable. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I want an HC who can give this team an identity and get maximum results/performance from his players, and at the same time gives the attention to details like clock-management and constant in-game adjustments. We're missing on all cylinders right now in these ways.
I also want that coach to have an opportunity to scout all the players on the roster, and that isn't even possible under the current coaching group. The more it rolls around upstairs I like the idea of giving Raheem the rest of the season to mix things up and put the word out Washington is looking for the best HC, OC and DC available. I feel like our process has sucked the last two changeovers. Post Gibbs II was a mess, and bringing in father/son combo was super risky. Hopefully BA can manage this process like a pro and next year is all positive. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
My Pick would be
HC= M. Shanny OC=Kubiac DC= Ron Rivera |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
If we had to get rid of someone. I would rather see Kyle go, then Mike.
