What are they going to do at this point? There's no special teams aces sitting on the street or some genius coach who can fix things overnight.
Teams were a large contributor to the Dallas loss and good lord super close offsides penalty that could have lead to another loss after allowing another punt return TD...this is not "bad luck". Teams are aggressively coming after us on special teams out scheming and finding loop holes in coverage.

Its just really sad how bad we have been, so far looks like a bad hire from Shanny, this was a "his guy" hire. I would be looking around to do something or start spending serious time paying attention to teams.
This is exactly what I'm talking about, inconsistency and lack of adjustment. After 4 years of this type of D, a change is needed. They have the talent, are healthier than last year and yet look worse. I know London is showing his age but others need to step up. Last year, Orakpo, Neild, Carriker were gone for the year after the second game. This year they have depth with Tapp, Brandon Jenkins, Meriweather is healthy (he's a liability), got better corners and S ( same as last year). It would be nice to get Tanard Jackson back to help in that area.
You think this defense has top talent? I don't.

The reason why the Special Teams sucks and the defense is inconsistent is because of poor tackling. You can fire the entire coaching staff, but until players get more consistent with the tackling, things are going to stay the same.

I would say it is when all three phases execute.

I have to admit, I thought Danny Stock was horrible. Man was I wrong!
Things are not bad enough to fire anyone (yet). Players and coaches need to figure things out and play more consistent period.
2-4 is not bad enough going to Denver? Skins could easily be 0-6 if Terrell Pryor played for OAK, today they barely escaped. The defense and ST are under performing, 4 years of the same type of play and no improvement is unacceptable. I don't about you, but I don't like mediocrity.
First thing they need to do is add some speed at KR. Paul and Morgan struggle to get the ball past the 20 yard line.

We need to figure out if Chris Thompson can help us or not. he looked good in preseason but we gave up on him, not sure what Morgan brings to the table that Thompson doesn't. It's sad to think that we can't get a return past the 20.
I think we already have our answer on Thompson. Inactive again today.

But the problem, as Matty ably indicated, is that the market is bare. If we fire Burns - whom I don't like - who is out there to replace him and be better?

I didn't say top talent, need MLB, CB and S help. D should be better than last year.

Technically, 2-4 is not good enough to be mediocre. But we're getting there.

But they are not 0-6 and could've/would've/should've doesn't work in real life. I'm not saying that there isn't a problem, but just blindly firing everyone is not going to solve everything.

Morgan brings ball security that Thompson lacks.

Otherwise they are similar:
Thompson 20.0 per kick return, 5.1 per punt return
Morgan 21.0 per kick return, 4.3 per punt return

I say give Raheem a chance as a DC at least.

Re: Skins vs Bears postgame

Hester is one of the top return men of all time. I can't get too upset over him making a play. Teams are still a concern but at least it didn't cost us the game. Just gotta hope they can improve.

On another note it was great to see another defensive score. Rak finally gets the monkey off his back with his first pick and he did it in style with the pick 6.
