IMO there is a decent chance that Cutler will be our starter next September. I'm not rooting for this, just sayin'.
Curse You!

Cutler our starting qb - God I hope not. He is an interception machine

Just goes to show you that it takes a lot more than pure talent to be a great QB. Cutler has the big time arm and weapons, but can't get over the hump. Wouldn't surprise me if Mike Shanahan is the next coach of Chicago.

I.....Could see Shanny going there....and the Cutler connection would work as well if they keep him....hmmmm

If the bears are truly getting rid of Trestman, I think they keep Cutler. But I would not be opposed to Cutler->Griffin trade. Perhaps change of scenery would be good for both. Cutler is 31 with a big contract, so that could mean only a few more years but it could make us competitive and allow us to continue to develop Cousins (?) or draft another developmental QB. Cutler would have DJax, maybe Garcon if he's here, a decent RB, good TE...

Many issues with Cutler, as he's not playing well. But one issue is our protection. This link and this link suggests he holds the ball too long (~2.8 sec)-- and would get killed with our protection.

Biggest -> I don't see Cutler causing much media controversy recently, and not tweeting or arguing with fans on facebook. However, I also don't see him as a strong locker room guy / leader.

.......how much of his 100m deal is guaranteed? On the bright side it is making me feel a whole lot better about the situation with Robert.

Why the hell would Cutler come to play here with the shitty line we have. He might as well stay in Chicago.

According sprotac.com his 7 year, $126.7 million contract has $54 million guaranteed. Averaging about $18 per year. Team cap space is $140 million, so this would mean Cutler is about 13% of team salary, sitting on the bench.

Any Skins fan who wants a piece of this guy and his contract is completely out of his/her mind.

We won't have to trade for Cutler or pay his current contract if the Bears eat his cap hit and cut him.

I'm not lobbying for Cutler. Just being realistic. We need a starter and choices are few.

Screw Cutler, he's got no balls just wants to get paid. Rather have Cousins.
Jay Cutler is owed $15.5 million next year, fully guaranteed. So someone is paying that...Nobody can be sure it's Chicago.
