Well the Lions are favored by 1 point.
1. The home team gets 3 points to start with. Plus, this is just bookmakers assuring that they win.

2. Who gives a rat's rear end about the spread, anyway. It's another example of the general public of the USA not believing in the Skins. That's nothing new. Half of the people in the country didn't think we were any good when we were winning Super Bowls under Joe Gibbs.

3. From what I read, the Lions are supposed to beat us with their passing game. Well, that just plays into our strength as a defense. I hope they try to throw the ball all over the place because they will lose if they do.

4. Our team is getting better in all phases on a week-to-week basis but the general public has a tendency to favor a team with a "star" QB over a well-balanced team. Nevertheless, well-balanced teams win. Also, Stafford is not the star he is thought to be by many NFL fans.

4. Our team is ascending because they are focused on getting better and they play hard every week. We may get beat sometimes, but we won't get outworked and we won't quit. Detroit just isn't the kind of team that will take us down.

5. This is the week we win handily on the road and wake up the non-believers. We''ll double their score: Skins 34, Detroit 17.
Outside of NE, any team is week to week. We could easily win this game Sunday just as easily as losing it. The NFL is so full of parody, if hoyer played all game last night, bears may have won.
Quite right, the NFL is full of "parody". Now that's pretty funny...

I wonder how depressive people will be before our remaining games if they don't believe we can beat the 2016 Lions... (Don't get me wrong, I never said we can not lose this game, but not believing we have the weapons to easily beat them seems like a "let's avoid any risk of being disappointed" kind of mindset)

It will be a close game that comes down to the wire. I think the redskins can win, but Cousins CAN NOT have any interceptions. NONE. No throwing across his body while running the wrong way or any of the other crap he's done this year.

The lions are going to gash our defense for some big plays and lots of yards, but they are just as bad and if Cousins can get his shit together we should beat them.

It's nice to know that you think we should beat them even though they will "gash" our defense which gave up 6 points last week because they are "just as bad" as our team that has won four straight this season. That is, if our (in your view) major f-up of a QB who has somehow led us to an 11-5 record in our last 16 games can get his act together. Now, that's what I call an insightful and inspiring post!

FYI...We can win the game if KC throws a pick. You act like if he makes a bad play it's 100% chance we lose the game. smh...

Yeah, I prefer my outlook with a hint of koolaid, otherwise why bother being a fan?

To be fair though, Cousins wasn't playing his best football for the first 5 games, but if that is him not playing well, I think we're in good shape. We can win more often then not with a 2:1 TD to INT ratio. I hope that doesn't prove to be his baseline, but I tend to think it won't.

Skins 38-16. Cousins drops dimes and the D makes them wish they could run.

I think we're going see a lot of the running game again. Last weekend running performance with all 3 rb has caused an awakening among the offense coaching staff....look for it to continue. Robert Kelly is slowly getting more work...expect his carries to increase for the 3rd straight week

I was going to type exactly this. Exactly this. Come on Solid? "Just as bad"? As who? I mean all bad years in the last 25 aside- we are 4-2 right now. We are, as KI pointed oout in this beautiful post, 11 and freaking 5 in very recent history. This team wins games. We might not be world beaters yet, but we are far from the laughing stock we were just a few short years ago.

Random side note - The Carbonaro Effect is hilarious. I'm not a big magic fan, but this show cracks me up.

I figure if Ruben Sandwiches are ok for threads, funny shows are.

If Kirk throws a pick, we lose? Lmaoooooo

Oh the ghosts of perfection some fans chase is biblical.

Guy has 36TD and 9INT in his last 16 regular games, with the second highest QBR among all QB'S in those games total. 11-5 record

"If he throws a INT we lose"

Hahaha have. Awesome man. Well done.

There is no thread dedicated to reubens. Though there should be. There is a "what show are you watching" thread - anyway Carbonaro is awesome. Would love to know how he does it. Im convinced he has a twin for one,...

I don't eat them enough, I can't even spell it right.

Maybe eating a Reuben while watching The Carbonaro Effect is where the real magic happens.
