IF we win Thursday and won our last six games, there is a real path to the East and a bye. It's not inconceivable.

Now do I think we are there yet, maybe just due to the way this team fights every week. Just pure heart, that in and of itself is why I love this team.

I think realistically we go 4-2 the next six weeks. No particular games I see one way or the other. Just overall.

Good call to give props to Bill Callahan. The o-line is a strength and Fat Rob is a bull dozer. We gotta keep pounding him, he definitely got stronger as the game went on.

Unsung hero last night: did anyone see CT picking up the blitz? Great block that helped a long play happen.

Garcon just keeps rocking & Crowder was able to stretch his legs last night.

Defense played good enough, but the safety spot is definitely a concern. I was hopeful that Whitner would bring more than he's shown...he looked old and slow last night. Still, we might need him in the box to stop Elliot.

And, Josh punching that ball out...we need more of that against the cowgirls on Thursday.

Our two starting CB only gave up 2 catches against Aaron Rodgers.

That's pretty fucking good

CT is a awesome pass protecter for a guy his size. Really impressed.

I'm not sure I agree with the second bolded statement. I really think Whitner is one of the weakest tacklers on our defense. I know this sounds weird since we brought in him part because of his supposed tackling abilities. But all our defense has improved their tackling technique, missed tackles number is way down from where it was the first 4 or 5 games... And each week you see Whitner missing tackles. I don't like that.

True...I do remember a shoulder tackle that he missed against GB that led to a big play.

Whitner is definitely over the hill. He knows what to do but his body can't respond as well to his brain as it once did. His body is likely to break down even more as the season progresses.

This is not a criticism of the person. He's playing as hard as he can, as far as I can tell.

I do not know if he is a good person. Lol.
He is borderline useless as a football player though.

He is a package type guy...I think he can def still contribute, but Duke Nachos is clearly the starter at SS.

Ive said this before, Wil Blackmon and Duke have been head and tails above D Hall and Bruton at the safety this year. We really, really need too add a young guy from the draft in 17 to the safety core.

Another guy we added, Cullen Jenkins, maybe has been our 2nd best Dlineman this year behind Swaggy. Again, I think that speaks to our issues at that group.

Agreed, IMO the safety position is our main weakness now. I would've said DL at the beginning of the season, but Barry is doing a really nice job of finding ways to bring pressure, we currently rank 6th in the league in sacks (most of them by Kerrigan (8) and Murphy (7)), so this still needs to be addressed but safety is a priority.

I was wondering if playing Cravens as a SS would be a good idea? It could be a way to have him on the field while removing an average player and adding another solid tackler in Mason Foster who we didn't see much this Sunday... because Cravens was playing LB. Not sure if Cravens would be as efficient as he is as a safety though, but that could be an idea in a "putting your best players on the field" strategy...

The weekly Power Ranking rant (and I am putting it in this so it doesn't grow long legs).

We handily beat GB - they drop 2 spots to 24, we move up two spots to 9

NYG barely beats Chicago - Chicago stays at 29, NYG moves up 10 spots to 6.

HUH???

It's solely because the Giants have won like 4 or 5 in a row and have a 7-3 record. Other than that, doesn't make sense to me.
