Ok well that certainly isn't acceptable...I mean who hasn't gotten lil loose at the senior bowl?....just kiddin. Thanks for the insight
In regards to the power struggle...mike Robinson (nfl and McC friend)said the first sign of struggle was Scott told him was he wasn't allowed to bring his own guys in when but during the hiring process he was told he would be allowed. Also it was made clear during the hiring process he would have entire final say over the roster, no questions asked. He actually never did. Lastly, in the redskins building there was clear lines drawn who could be trusted and who couldn't meaning(leaks, people reporting gossip back to Bruce/dan. ) and this went beyond typical NFL working organization. Thoughts?
Yeah that's a good point about getting his own guys. Forgot about that. Something I often wondered about |
It's a shame the Skins brought him in without a good support system, it was obvious from day one that he needed it, whether he admitted it or not.
It's also a shame that McCloughan can't get control of his demons. From all accounts he's one of the top personnel guys around, and a good guy to boot. Someone close to him needs to get him some help. And he needs to realize that he can't keep going like this. It's very disappointing how this leaked out. Smear campaigns are always so bush league. In the end both sides lose. As Schneed mentioned I can understand the hate towards Allen/Snyder, but I think this is a case where both parties let each other down. I wish Scot the best and hope he can bounce back stronger than ever.
Hopefully to an NFC East team, that just be the cherry on top of the sundae we call the Washington Redskins. |
I think it speaks volumes about this organization that even the hardcore fans found on this site dont believe the stories and are totally fed-up. The sad thing is I dont think this organization cares.
When I look at the NFL, success starts from the top down and as long as DS is the owner this organization will never be successful. I totally agree with a previous poster, DS is the new Al Davis.
Good point. We are so sick and tired of the promises to change how we do business because its never truly happened. I think its fascinating how the top line management has packaged and sold this bs to the fans over and over. Folks it truly starts with Dan Snyder and his advisors. It isn't debatable. The people who have his ear and his actions directly lead to his reign of shit. For people who think Jay is calling the shots, you obviously still haven't learned. He may have a little input, but clearly Bruce is the overwhelming authority in that building. |

Exact quote from 2/25 b4 combine: “Bruce and Jay make decisions on EVERYTHING. The record of Redskins last 2 years is Bruce and Jay." |
Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
I tend to believe that SM fell off the wagon, although my hatred for Allen and Snyder wants to believe the jealousy/built in excuse to fire him. That just seems sooooo ridiculous even for BA and DS.
Bottomline though is that I don't even care. Our quarterback and gm were the two best things this team had going and now.......ugh |
Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
Whatever.....if McClue was an alchy then all this drama is his fault.
If Snyder is at fault for anything its for hiring the loser in the first place. Feck this guy and the bourbon wagon he rode in on. |

IMO KC and Dalton both owe their careers to JG. JG is great at taking below average QB's and making them above average; if KC walks he will do it again with another QB. I say let KC play out 2017-18 but have someone in the wings to groom. As far as BA; he has cleaned up the salary cap and he is the perfect yes man for DS. Did anyone ever think DS was tired of being the bad guy so BA is willing to take the fall for him in the public's eyes? If you are really this upset about the Skins cancel your season tickets or stop supporting them; hit DS in the wallet only way you will get his attention. |

Best thing about this offseason to point. I will say that in Kirks rookie year - fresh off the bench and stepping into huge shoes (griff was obviously a superstar in the making than) that he came into a tough ass game against the Ravens and won it. Than won a must win against the Browns to keep our playoff hopes alive. Yes the Browns but KC lit them the fuck up. So KC showed great potential in a tough spot well before JG. Edit: Him and JG work great together, they will also probably both be gone in two years. Lol |

As long as he's at the top this organization will always be a dysfunctional loser. |
Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
Bruce Allen seems like a little shithead. No link lol. That's just my conclusion after reading all our discussions and the different articles out there.
The guy really is Smithers. The next GM that comes in, if any, will be one crazy guy. If I had any offers even near what the GM is from another team, even for less money, I'd tell Allen to shove the job offer where the sun don't shine. |
Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
He just looks smug as fuck, LOL.
[IMG]http://prod.static.redskins.clubs.nfl.com/assets/images/imported/WAS/centerpieces/landing-page-centerpieces/coach-front-office-staff-photos/NED_0288AllenInside.jpg[/IMG] Now THAT is a shit-eating grin. |

Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan
Let's face it. Allen is only here and in the NFL because of his last name. I think he is the kind of guy that should be an agent, and I think he was one at one point. He is not the kind of guy that should be running a franchise. His press conference a few years ago told me that. I was shocked listening to him stumble and mumble all over himself. He sounded incompetent.

Exact quote from 2/25 b4 combine: “Bruce and Jay make decisions on EVERYTHING. We've simply got better QB play and that pick is all Shanahan. Allen was a main contributor to maybe one of the worst trades in NFL history. And he was also part of the McNabb trade. I'd give Gruden and SM credit for making that change in 15 and sticking by it. |
