Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
1. A head coach should always have control over his roster. If you wont give your head coach that control, then the guy shouldn't be your head coach.
2. Between the two of them, Id rather Jay control the roster than Bruce.
If you can't trust your HC to do the right thing, then you should fire him. Jay Gruden is the one who should be permanently deactivated. p.s. We're going to be trampled by the Cowboys next week at "home". |
If you mean Jay Gruden then I agree with you. Otherwise, no.
You beat me to the same point. Adrian Peterson is not the problem. Gruden, Allen, Manusky are the problem. I have nothing against Guice, but what has he done or shown in an NFL game or preseason to think he can carry the work horse load at RB? AP proved it last year. Why WR Richardson playing? Not because he So fucking great. Because he has a big contract. Thses decisions did not come coaching staff, they came from FO. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Moses leading the league last year in penalties and having drive killing penalties yesterday is a slap in the face. This mf'er needs to STFU and focus on his own play.
Morgan Moses is right. The run game had 10 carries for 30 yards with an average 1.3 per.....anyone who says we didn’t need the greatest RB of this decade is a damn fool. What did Smallwood do for us in his place? Nothing. Gruden needs to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
If they keep doing what they did yesterday,he'll be gone after the New England game, which is not soon enough for me..this guy should stay an offensive coordinator because he's not a head coach.

Fire him and manusky yesterday

Like I said, Moses needs to STFU and play. And whatever happened with let young player develop and not have old vets take time away from that development? My biggest issue with Gruden was going away from the run. Mitch Tischler said it best during the Redskins Talk Podcast, that series of play when Keenum missed McLaurin and PRich had a drop, they should have run the ball and give the defense a rest. All this will be a moot point if/when Reed returns and they can activate AP. |

Did AP ever average 1.8 ypc last year behind the walking wounded?

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
If you're going to have AP on the roster then you simply have to active him. If he isn't going to be active then just move on from him.
The head coach should always have control over the roster. And with that comes accountability. |

L lead. So why you telling him to stfu? On your point about developing young players, yes develop them. But start your best players period. Do not let age, where drafted or contract influence your decision on starters. Coaches coach and FO should stay out who starts. |

George Allen said-The Future Is Now,and he was right..these clowns don't have a glue as to how winning works..if we fall to-0-3 the sky is gonna fall.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
WTF do we need with a 34 year old RB?? As soon as Guice was cleared medically they should have dumped Peterson. He did a great job last year and was one of the few bright spots but 2018 is long over with.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
RUN game was PATHETIC yesterday
|
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Yeah didnt really think Guice solved the running game yesterday.
If anything we shouldn’t cut AP, but moved him for a pick. Carlos Hyde and duke Johnson getting picks...AP could get one. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Jays the type of coach that would play for a FG in OT. ... Time to go dude.

Riggins was 34 when had a career year. He was 35 when he lead the NFL in running TD's. A very few excellent athletes can continue to be very good at that age. TE Vernon Davis is 35 that scored a great TD yesterday . While a younger Jordan Reed can not stay on the field. |
