Re: Pre game Thread - Commanders at Lions Sun 1 pm
I was asking...not sure. Just trying to determine which 5 players would be on the line... Seems like it's almost always 4.

Re: Pre game Thread - Commanders at Lions Sun 1 pm
The 4-2-5 (Nickel) is our base defense.
The only difference is with Curl out what we saw in the secondary was mainly: WJ3, Fuller, St Juste, Forrest, McCain. I don't think we played even one snap in 4-3. Maybe a bit of Dime (4-1-6). But 4-2-5 is our base indeed. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk |

That's what I was thinking.

Re: Pre game Thread - Commanders at Lions Sun 1 pm
From what I’m hearing there should be a lot of opportunities against their passing defense, I’d say be aggressive throwing the ball.

Wow this is big:
The Detroit Lions have ruled All-Pro center Frank Ragnow out of their Week 2 He played last week. Also heard a safety and corner most likely out and a starting guard is a true game time decision But their all pro Center out is bigly |

He didn't practice on Wednesday and Thursday, was limited on Friday. |

This is an exert from a Lions site: The Detroit Lions (-1.5) look to rebound from a tough Week 1 loss this week by hosting a Washington Commanders (+1.5) team that eked out a late-game comeback against the Jacksonville Jaguars (+3) in Week 1. Detroit is entering the weekend a little beat-up on their roster, while the Commanders are looking fairly healthy. But coach Dan Campbell would never use that as an excuse, nor would any other NFL coach. Depth is key in the NFL, and the Lions’ will likely be tested on Sunday. Detroit’s roster is certainly better than it was at this point last year, but can they weather the early injury storm? |
Re: Pre game Thread - Commanders at Lions Sun 1 pm
INJURIES
DL Jonathan Allen (groin) has been added to the injury report and is now questionable to play versus Detroit. ROSTER MOVES OG Wes Martin elevated to active roster from practice squad. DT Benning Potoa'e elevated to active roster from practice squad. So who did they cut to make room for Martin and Potatoe? |
Re: Pre game Thread - Commanders at Lions Sun 1 pm
I am the eternal pessimist, I can’t remember the last time was I picked the skins to win. Detroit usually sucks but so do we so it’s even on that front.I’d say edge to qb for us and rb for them.If Swift is healthy I could easily see him getting 150 yards against us if it’s a close game, if we’re blowing them out and they have to pass a lot then that won’t happen but when was the last time we blew anybody out lol.

I mean yeah the Eagles scored 38 on them, they moved the ball, both passing and rushing, quite easily. I think this should be a high scoring one... IMO we have a more complete roster than them, but shouldn't look down on them, they'll score some on us. |

You and me both. Loved Settle, was probably my favorite player, should have traded Payne and asked Matt I. To restructure. |

We have the weapons to continually be aggressive and throw deep. We will hit some for sure just like last week. Bombs away tomorrow. Could be extra fun and potent in a dome.
Lions 6R pick LB Malcolm Rodriguez is the Lions starting LB and the team and fans seem to love him and his physicality
He was a stud at Oklahoma St. A true leader also and super physical. Doesn't really surprise me he's starting. He's also from a small town here making his ascension even more admirable.
