Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
I think I may have a problem folks. I really like seeing the Cowboys lose as much as seeing the Skins win. F'ing Bills O, they've ruined my week even though the Skins won big.
As for Romo's performance, I feel really good about our chances and what GW might have in store for him and co. I'll give credit the the Bills D, they played their hearts out and they've shown the rest of the league what needs to be done against Toney "Chuck It" Romo. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
For Dallas, this was the worst thing that could have happened to them prior to the NE game. They don't lose, but clearly Romo struggled with what the Bills were doing.
When they go into NE, and NE does something similar on defense, and blows out the Cowboys, the entire league is going to have two games of film on how to stop the Cowboys' offense. 5-0 or not, I think this team wins about 10 games. |
me...?
7 char
no,it doesnt matter anymore,I was just pissed that the bills blew it and I was just spouting off, being in Tx I know a lot of people that r cowboy fans and it would have been nice to shut them up for a week |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
I am as much of a Cowpuke hater as anyone but I think some of the comments on them are WAY off base. Really good teams, as history will tell you, win UGLY from time to time. To me, I really think this is what happened last night. They had no business winning this game with the way they played but somehow they found a way in a hostile environment nonetheless.

Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Every team, except the Cardinals, gets lucky from time to time. Yes, the Bills did a lot of dumb things in the last 30 seconds, but not because of anything Dallas did. Garrett and the offense just did what they had to do, and its unfortunate that the Bills could know what was coming, yet still be completely unprepared to stop it.
|
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
My main fear is that with games like last night's that this is turning into one of those special (Super) years for the Cowboys. The Pats need to spank Romo and cause the Cowgirls to sprial downward.
|
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
That was a crazy game.......I cannot believe dallas is undefeated still....however, this proves what I though that Romo can have miserable games, any other team in the NFL would have won that game. All McGee has to do is catch the F-in ball

Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Again, terrible D by the Bills on that last play from scrimmage. You've got to keep those guys in-bounds
But Folk nailed that kick. Let's see if he can do it again
He did do it again. LOL |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Dallas should have lost that game. If it weren't for the bills bad coaching decision, they would have a loss right now.

Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Some of you guys are homers to no end. The Cowboys are good, can't you see that? And what is this bullshit about, they have to beat NE before they're considered a good team? Really, losing one game to a great team means the Cowboys are pretenders? It makes no sense. I'm not defending the Cowboys, but we can be irrational sometimes.
Listen, if Buffalo can't ante up after 6 turnovers, it says more about them than the Cowboys. Romo had a bad game. The Cowboys had a bad game, and they still won. You're going to win a few ugly ones. And the arugument about the combined records of their opponents means nothing to me. You have to strap on your helmet and earn it every Sunday in the NFL. At kickoff all that shit goes out the window. They're still undefeated. It's really that simple. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Give Dallas props for pulling it out. Folk was the mvp, that onside kick & the game winner twice. Also, the Dallas D has found its form, though against a weak offense. They were quick to the ball & didn't give up anything deep. Sacked edwards a few times too. Their D bailed them out big time, at least 3 times the Bills got the ball in good field position but ended up punting & missing a fg.
I said it in preseason; the dallas d could be really good. They're starting to look like a killer d the last 2 weeks & they get Tank next month. The positive side of this game for us is it shows how fragile Romo can be. GW already has a scheme in mind I bet. |

They're 5-0 and you can't take that away from them. That said though, the Bills came into the game decimated by injuries on defense and their QB was starting his 2nd NFL game ever. So you have to take that into consideration as well |

I completey agree there. But also know, the Cowboys know damn well they had no business winning this game. And I'm sure they'll go back and treat this one like a "loss." Or at least they should. With every game that passes, Romo's post game interviews and pressers are leaving a really bad taste in mouth. |
You are right, the only reason that Dallas won is because of how good the D played. I am not sure that a lot of Cowboys fans realize that Buffalo only scored 3 points, only a FG. They can make the kicker, the onside recovery the players of the game, but it really was the D who stepped up and didn't allow a young and rookie QB beat them. That being said, I knew that Dallas would have a horrible game this season, just didn't expect it to be this soon. I hope they learned from this. Romo let the media hype get into his head, he was awful to watch last night. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
The Bills also left a LOT of points on the board. They would consistently get into FG range and/or the red zone and then get penalties or stall the drive SOMEHOW.
Buffalo couldn't have gift-wrapped that game any better. |

I see your point, but if you think about it, Romo and TO were the only ones who played bad last night. It wasn't like everything had a bad game, I think the D had a huge game. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Romo was really inconsistent last night. I thought the Bills would pull it off, but I have to give props to the Cowgirls for hanging in there and winning a tough game on the road. They could have easily given up after the third or fourth or fifth pic, or the fumble, or the interception for a TD, or the other interception for a TD, or the kickoff return for a TD, or the timeout just before Folk made the first FG...
Bottom line is they were very resilient. Their D kept them in the game, and they overcome as much adversity in one game I have ever seen. I can't wait until November 18th. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
When I went to bed last night I think the score was 24-13 and I knew Dallas was going to win somehow.
Buffalo is a bad team and bad teams find ways to lose games like that. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
Combined record of Cowboys opponents thus far: 6-18. Let's see what happens next week. I can't wait to see New England rip them to shreds.

GM, I hate to beat a dead horse, but let's say the Cowboys beat the crap out of the Pats, and turn around the next week and lose to Minnesota. What good is that stat at that point? |

Dallas has been the second or third best team in football to this point, but I think based on last night, its safe to predict that their offense is about to go through some adversity. The NFC is going to have about 10 playoff contenders: Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Green Bay, Seattle, and Arizona. Only 6 can make it and one must come from every division. Coming from the best division in football, at 5-0 the Cowboys are not a lock to make the playoffs. They are 1-0 in the division and that is not something I would label an impressive victory. Lets say they go 1-4 in the division the rest of the way, and for the sake of non-homerism, that victory comes against us on 11/18. They lose to New England next week, and either to GB or Carolina or the Jets (just one of those games). Then they are 10-6 and hold virtually no tiebreakers. If we get just 11 wins and then either New York or Philadelphia comes back to win 10 games (and the chances that one of them does is pretty high), Dallas finishes third in their own division. They can only make the playoffs if none of the other divisions produces two 10 win teams. I think Arizona, Seattle, Green Bay, and Chicago all have a good shot at ten wins. Here's the point: they haven't done crap within the division yet. Even giving them the benefit of a single win in the remaining division games, they still are a longshot to make the playoffs. 2 of their 5 victories have come against crappy out of conference opponents which are useless for tiebreaker purposes. Don't crown them just yet. What they have done is impressive, but also meaningless if, by chance, they do what every team in history has done: gone through adversity. |

I say if they don't make it, they completely fell apart. If the season ended today, they are without a doubt a playoff team. You do agree with that, don't you? And 5-0 is pretty damn impressive if you ask me. I don't care if they beat five JV squads. As far as their offense "about" to go through adversity, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at with that statement. But if you mean, defenses have now figured out Romo or something, well, I think there has been enough game film on him prior to last night to defend him adequately. But that still seems like an odd projection with no evidence to really support it. And by evidence, I'm specifically talking about injuries or some type of turnmoil within the team. None of which is taking place. But to say they are about to go through adversity because of a bad game by Romo is a reach if you ask me. By the way, I find it funny how no one has posted the "combined wins" of New England's opponents this year, yet they are supposed to be the ultimate test for Dallas. It could very be the other way around. |

Well, The combined record of Colts opponents thus far: 11-12 (two with losing records). The combined record of Patriots opponents thus far: 7-17 (ALL with losing records). Does that mean that they are both overrated too? Bottom line is they beat who they were supposed to beat (same as the Cowboys). |

I was going to, but I wanted to see how long "combined records" argument was going to last. This is potentially a match-up of equals if you ask me. For the record, if the Redskins can continue to play at the level they did on Sunday, you can throw them in the mix too. |
Re: Bills and Pats-vs-Dallas
I agree with the statement that this is potentially a match-up of equals in the sense that they are both 5-0. I also believe that this game could show us who is the real deal and who isn't, or perhaps that both are the real deal.
You can throw the Skins in the mix, however, the combined record of their opponents is only 7-12. jk |
