I enjoyed my Celebration Ale on Friday night, it was really good! 6 of them is all you need for a great buzz.
You drank all 6? I love that stuff but I'm good after 2 and I'll switch off to something lighter. Just too heavy for me.

It is mad tasty though.

I thought that was what I was going to do as well (only a couple) but I kept pouring them into a glass and they went done very smooth. Kind of reminded me of Sam Adams Winter Lager but a little less bitter. I probably drank the 6 over a 4 hour period.

Yes it was Sierra Neveda.

Has anyone tried that 1800 tequila? The one I always see the commercials for on TV saying how much better it is than Petron? I've had shots of Petron and that stuff is so smooth. I mean anything better than that would have to be pretty effin fantastic.

They might call this a problem.. but you guys know the feeling when you've achieved a buzz.. and sometimes you need just a bit more.. like you feel good, but know you'll feel GREAT if you just tip a lil more back?

Know the feeling all to well, why I usually buy a six pack at time. I am forced to stop.

Patron is okay.. the blanco is nothing that great, neither is the anejo (the least and most aged of the group).. the reposado, the middle in the group actually is very good though

for my money there are many tequilas I'd take against those.. 1800 is close and at a lower price point

in the same price point, across the whole line, I'd take the don julio's in a heartbeat

drop down a few dollars and the sauze tres generaciones gives you more than the patron, easily

if you want to talk about a few more dollars than patron then we're on a diff subject

I've had damn near all of the top spirits there are (save a lot of them more than 70 a fifth) and consider myself a pretty decent tongue for fine spirits.. the only category I haven't gone pretty high end with against a decent spread is brandy/cognac.. but I've had a good handful at least

No, but my teeth get numb after 3 or 4 drinks. Does that count?

Sometimes when I'm shooting Jameson. Like if I've been pounding beers all night and then I switch up real fast, I clinch my teeth.

Yessir. The funny thing is I drink Jameson a lot, but I react differently if I'm just sipping v. shooting. Make sense?

I usually start out with Yuengleng or Stella (it's okay, but not great) and chase it with a Jameson on the side. Then some nights I just go straight Jamey.

I've never got into Bourbon or Scotch for some reason. Maybe I'll venture out over the holiday season.

Re: Drunk Thread

Never really gotten into Jameson, but it's definitely really popular.

I really love red wine, and my favorite varietals are Grenache, Cabernet, and Shiraz.

As far as beer goes, I love it. Plain and simple. As long as it's nothing foo foo like Blue Moon, I'll try it. In quantity, Miller Lite or Stella. Sipping one or two- Dogfish Head 60 or 90 (any nice hoppy IPA really), any and all Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada.

As far as liquor, I don't really do shots anymore. That kind of died when I left Gainesville, Fl. I like to sip single malt scotch.

But if I had to pick, I'll take a nice big Cabernet or peppery Grenache any day.
