Holy crap. Jonathon Martin only benched 225 twenty times. That's horrible for a "top caliber" LT. Hell, I can do 225 twenty times....lol

Josh Norris ‏
Jonathan Martin measured in with 34" arms, 82 1/8" wingspan at the Combine.

Re: The Pro Days Thread

I'm hoping Andrew Luck's pro day tops RG3's from yesterday. Because I've seen mock drafts where it has the Colts taking Griffin III now and the Redskins drafting Luck. As we all know, RG3 had a magnificent pro day. I don't see how Luck can do any better than Griffin did. But if Luck's pro day is at least as good as Griffin's was, then he will solidify himself as the first overall pick in the draft. But if his pro day doesn't match RG3's, then the Colts will definitely take Griffin and the Redskins will draft Luck.

Trent Williams...23 times...Trent isn't a godly LT, but strength is not a big concern at all for him...

If I recall Jarvis Jenkis was even worse than that and he's our DT.
Who was better Magic or Bird? I say why compare the two -- they are both great. I think RG3's skill set would serve the skins better while Luck's skill set would serve the colts better. I think the people who are sleeping on RG3 underestimate his decision making ability and those who sleep on Luck underestimate his athleticism. I think both qb's would thrive in skins' system next year.
Welcome & well said, that's how I would put it.

Yeah, 17 reps...but he was destroying people in training camp.

Fleener physical presence reminds me a lot of Gronkowski. Dude just ran a 4.45 and is 6'6"

Maybe I should go try out with the Skins...lol

Winner = RG3
White guy = Luck
Other guy = Newton
They all look so slow compared to me. I'd blow them away with my 40 time and 27 yard long bomb...

If I were the Colts Colby Fleener would be my 2nd round pick.

Did anyone watch Luck's pro-day given that he will be our new starting QB according to every pundit?

Fleener is one hell of an athlete. Stock is going up, up, up.

I think Luck has already done all that is necessary at the Combine to show his physical athleticism is exceptional for a QB.

Not yet. He's currently warming up. Going to throw about 48 throws. It's very windy at Stanford right now so it's going to be interesting.

Cool that is what I thought. I'm still unsure as to whether or not I want him to do really well or do mediocre...

Why? It doesn't matter. These pro days aren't really going to influence many decisions unless you are Al Davis.

Hadn't heard that, but not surprising as it seems RGIII's stock has been on the rise for months while Luck was already at the top.

Snyder, Allen, Shanahans

Colts QB coach

I'm sure others, don't know

SmootSmack 03-22-2012 04:05 PM

Re: The Pro Days Thread

I know pro days don't tell you much but interesting to see Luck throwing outdoors in windy conditions vs. Griffin indoors. And one of the Stanford coaches is chasing Luck with a broom held high mimicking a d-lineman with his hands up. Didn't have that for Griffin.

Luck looking pretty strong so far

Underthrowing a lot of deep balls. Guess that's because of the wind. Colts are definitely taking him, but wouldn't be depressed if he dropped to us. He's got that big dufus look that seems to work well in the NFL - Eli, Peyton, Big Ben, Rivers, Cutler, etc.

Gtothearry 03-22-2012 04:11 PM

Pretty nice throws so far with the wind.

Lol, exactly my thoughts as well. I'm not sure if it's the goofy persona but his smiles and laugh comes across as being uncomfortable.

One incompletion so far.....

I really dont think Rivers fits into that big, dumbfounded look category. Eli and Peyton for sure, cutler for sure, not so much for big ben either though. I think Rivers is a handsome guy, but Im not gay or anything............not that theres anything wrong with that.......

Gtothearry 03-22-2012 04:29 PM

About a 75 yard throw looked pretty easy.

Rivers looks pretty dumb to me.

Gtothearry 03-22-2012 04:35 PM

45-48 in wind......pretty good showing. Basic football over the theatrics/loose feeling at Baylor.

mbedner3420 03-22-2012 04:38 PM

Re: The Pro Days Thread

For those that have seen both, what is your sense? Is there a clear and immediate winner? Given yesterdays performance, do you think the colts will select RG3 over Luck?

SirClintonPortis 03-22-2012 04:39 PM

Re: The Pro Days Thread

Luck's attractiveness is a step below RGIII's.

Re: The Pro Days Thread

To be honest they both looked great. We can't lose I'm satisfied with either.
